Modern love is my favourite song of all time let alone my favourite Bowie song

Ashes to ashes also a personal favourite, Bowie reminds me of growing up so much and I thank him for the memories he has created for me with his songs

Never understood why he released this, nor why it ever got as far as #3 in the charts.

Thought generally among musicians to be the best version was probably that by The Merseys in 1966, although the first one I actually remember hearing was the original by The McCoys in 1965, but that was played at a slower tempo and was more folk/rock than pure pop.

IMO Bowie's version was pretty similar to The Merseys recording and really added nothing.
