Why would she leave? Her and David divorced over 30 years ago and were no longer in touch, and she hasn't spoken to her son since he was a teenager. I

It wouldn't surprise me if BB didn't offer to raise her fee in order for her to stay. This is all about business for angie. If she ever entertained thoughts of a reconciliation with her son though, then this will have ended them for good.

Agreed. She will use this for sympathy. Enjoy the cash, Angie.

Of course it could be interpreted as giving his immediate current family respect. Given her relatively higher than normal profile because of CBB it is inevitable the gutter press would be seeking her comments. Staying in the house she is not any real distraction.

Maybe when the news sinks in she will have a rethink.. . to me the right thing to do would be to leave the show.

Her decision to stay on course in the house is entirely logical. It would be more odd if she left over this.”

I have been thinking ths throughout the morning. If she were to leave the house it would be to do what.? If she is estranged from the family, she leaves BB, goes back to her home and ....... ?????

But to be fair it is unlikely to have even sunk in yet. I went 3 days after my Dad died before I cried. I ran on adrenaline and a sort of numb disbelief until eventually it sunk in and the flood gates opened. Then I couldn't stop.

According to a thread I saw earlier the gutter press are already there in form of a rat
with his note pad.

Shall we place bets on Gemma linking the two events?

I would have had a lot more respect for Angie if she had left the house after hearing the news.

Sorry but I really believe she has made the wrong decision in this matter.

Of course, it's sad what happened, but she has to do what's right for her and her family.

On US BB16, two cast members, Frankie and Derrick, lost their grandfathers within 3 days of each other, both were given letters from their family which told them to stay, and neither of them left. And they had a closer relationship than Angie does.

I bet she feels guilty that she's been bad mouthing him to the others now.

Yep, she forgets, her son is also David Bowie's son and that he might need her right now, no matter what bad blood has been between them before.

They all signed the contract, so in a way, they are prisoners.

I thought that too. Or that Angie's people might have renegotiated her fee for her to stay in and talk about David a lot. BB will be hoping a lot of people switch on to see what she may say.
Maybe I'm just too jaded.

The bridges have been burnt already in that respect, Angie can offer an olive branch but it's up to Duncan whether to take it or not.

What I meant is, with her high profile and being in the house on this sad day, it is out of respect to his family if she withdrew from the show.

If Angie needs support she has her daughter and family, the house is not the place she should be right now. I can't fathom what Angie can gain from staying in the house

Hmm. She is a loose canon and doesn't posses the self-awareness to keep refrain from saying some unsavory or just unsympathetic things in the wake of this news. I think she should have taken the out offered if only to reassure that she isn't further damaging her own public image. Regardless, I feel for her and I hope she copes well.

She has to do what feels right for her. Right now BB may feel like a safe house, if she leaves no doubt she would be pestered by tabloids.

Forty years is a long time, and his death sad as it is doesn't change how she felt about him for so many years. If she didn't know he was so ill, she will probably be in shock and surrounded by a small number of people who hopefully will support her probably feels the safest place to be.

People shouldn't judge and assume they know her motives for staying.

Who ever is giving Angie professional advice, isn't doing a great job IMO ... staying in the house will do her more harm than good in the short and long term.
