Well going by tonight's episode the judge did and Deacon didn't help at all.
I just think it's a terrible storyline and so badly-handled compared with the plots involving Scarlett and Gunnar, Will, Avery etc. Do they employ a special team of writers to make Rayna's plots less enjoyable than everyone else's? |

It wasn't exactly believable, though, and the script was very carefully structured to miss out most of the evidence in Rayna and Deacon's favour (and any of the legal arguments that would have been used in a real court).

I am finding the character of Deacon has become seriously annoying - the repetitive cycle of lashing out followed by remorse has become really predictable and tedious.
On the other hand I am liking Layla more and more. When she first appeared on the show she was an airhead and sang knock off songs in a bland fashion. Now she has been through quite a bit of pain, she is delightful (yeah, I know it's only acting and stuff...) Plus she has a great voice - 'Too Far From You' is the only memorable song of the series so far for me. (Music scarcely seems to feature in this show any more.) Too bad Aubrey is not sticking around for S5. |
