Just looking at the EPG for tomorrow nights American idol. It's only on for one hour (8-9pm). Tuesday's episode is scheduled to be on 8-9:50pm.
Surely the performance show should be on for two hours and the results show just the one hour? |

It does seem to be correct. Four of the contestants didn't sing on the first show (They were 'put through' by the judges). Then the final 10 performed on the second show.
standard overall is very high however , tough to predict which 4 of the 10 that performed tonight will go home |

Checked my EPG and American idol is not on next Mon and Tuesday. I also did a program search instead of scrolling through everyday of the EPG to see if it's on another time but last show listed is the weekend repeats. SO HAS IT HEEN CANCELLED BY 4music like channel 5 did?

Sorry my mistake it's not on on Monday but from Tuesday next week totally didn't see it there on Tuesday next week
Is that because they only got 1 episode per week now into the top 10? |

not sure anyone really stood out for me tonight
the guy dalton is really coming over like a poor man's billie joe armstrong to me , i love that style of music, my spotify playlist is full of that genre, but there is just something missing for me. to use a cowell-ism its like a kitten trying to be a tiger. sonika was a bit in the same vein, i think acts should just avoid evanescence songs as they just cant compare to amy lee vocally. she is stunningly gorgeous tho

theres just something effortless and natural about her , not sure i particularly like the style of music she is doing but i like her this version of this song she did at the last 24 stage has been my fave so far https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_1dARmTRKM |

Just caught up with it now.
That La'Porsha is an incredible vocalist but I'm not a fan of someone singing that many runs, it just makes me feel awkward. I preferred Trent who ofc also sung runs but more controlled and smooth for me. So, next Tuesday. Is it performance and results show in one? |

Anyone watch it tonight?
Don't know about you but it all seems kinda rushed to me, and random having the guest performance sing in between the acts. I liked La'Porsha, Avalon and I like Sonika, but something is missing for me. I'm not feeling any connection to any of them really apart from La'Porsha. |

i'm not getting the love for la porsha at all , that version of "come together" she did this week was dreadful
quite disappointed that avalon got sent home and they saved sonika instead avalon is the first act i have seen on any of these shows for a long time that imo comes across as just being "current" and "credible" as much as i hate using those words but she obviously wasn't getting the votes being in the bottom 3 two weeks in a row not sure who i would want to win of the 6 that are left , they are all a bit karaoke imo with the exception of the guy with the glasses and he just seems to want to turn everything into a john lewis advert, probably tristan would be my pick even tho i am not too keen on the style of music she does |

Correct. But if you watch back, Sonika was always the chosen to be pushed to final 4 or 5. Her voice is good, but no passion, strength or soul. Avalon is "current" ![]() Quote:

I think when she Sonika sung Bring Me To Life she showed a some more performance skill, and then when she sung Since You Been Gone that all went away again. They the judges said they were expecting some more attitude. If she improves on that I think it'll help her, but yes the judges have always liked her so not surprised she got through.
I liked La'Porsha's performance of Come Together. I was wasn't wowed, but still, for me her and Sonika are the only ones that I look forward to. Actually, I think Tristan is good. But to be honest, I can't see any of them doing the type of music I like, which is a little deflating, and as I mentioned before, I feel everything seems rushed. It would be nice for a success to come out of this year. The last person to be successful (world wide) from winning was Jordin Sparks wasn't it? Wow lol. |

Wow lol. sonika was the first contestant that stood out for me during the auditions , i liked the way she stayed in control and didn't feel the need to add all the vocal gymnastics we usually see, however as the competition has gone on she has turned into just another power ballad singer, albeit a very good looking one the last 6 has a group of very competent singers but none of them stand out as having that star quality imo , tristan could be the exception given how young she is |

4 music managed to mess that up tonight a fair bit! Wouldn't be the first time either!
Even though I'm not La'Porsha's biggest fan, that last performance was fantastic. Out of what's left, I'd like to see Dalton win it. I'm expecting Sonika to go out next week, the public clearly aren't voting for her and the judges can't save her anymore. |

I'm now supporting La'Porsha, her performance of 'Diamonds' is the stand-out performance of the season for me, though I was quite underwhelmed with 'Ready for Love' - when Ryan said she was singing this, I thought she'd have sewn it up (it's an incredible song), but something didn't quite click. |

I guess the viewing figures are really low (judging by the few comments on here!).
I don't know how the format actually works in the US, but it seems very rushed when watching the edited version we get. How someone can edit a show like this and manage to put it together in the wrong order I have no idea. I thought that the selection of girls we saw was much better than the boys, so am really surprised that there is only one girl left now, especially as I'm not a great fan of La Porsha. My order for the last four would be: Trent (to win) MacKenzie La Porsha Dalton The judges seem to think that they are all wonderful (I wonder though if they have to say that?). I can't see any of the finalists making much of an impact following the show. |
