Saying that - is there any benefit to upgrading, anyway?”

I had no problems with 9.3.0 on my iPad mini 2 anyway. I think the Night Shift feature is genuinely useful.

Yes I've just tried that. It now vibrates for some messages and not for others.

It seems to be an issue with 9.3 :

Didn't affect everyone. Depended on some apps like booking.com being installed to have the problem.

Not noticed any issues, I saw someone claiming excessive battery drop in standby, I've just checked my Air 2, it's only dropped 5% in 26 hours of standby, so it doesn't seem to be an issue for me.

I read it more as a pointless, unfounded insult. No idea why the statement was made.

No, you must be confusing your words.

Cancer is a serious illness that often kills people.

Anyone experiencing issues with WiFi speed on 9.3.1 ?

Mine has gotten to a point where it's actually quicker to use my 3G data. Googling around and it apparently is an actual problem with a lot of people on 9.3.1 as well.

No, you must be confusing your definitions of cancer.

Another is:

a practice or phenomenon perceived to be evil or destructive and hard to contain or eradicate.

May also be used in a figurative, rather than wholly literal, sense.

No problem here. Tested from upstairs with router downstairs.

Must be just me then

This site ..

.. is what I found that hinted at WiFi problems. I'll probably just give Plusnet a shout to see if they've been having any issues.

Always try first with other devices to locate the issue.

I've tried connecting my android tv box via wifi and playing a film trailer. 10 minutes later it was still buffering. Connected via wired and it played instantly.

Sounds like your router needs rebooting or replacing then.

And just like that, i appear to have accidentally solved it

http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/i/1608171499

Checked the WiFi mode settings on my router and it was set at "802.11 (b/g/n) up to 300 mb/s".

I dropped it down to the next setting which is the same apart from "up to 144 mb/s" and re-ran the speed test to get the above. Things are opening almost instantly now - Youtube isn't buffering and apps are downloading over WiFi in a few seconds again.

I'd try changing it back to the 300Mb setting and testing again as that is a faster setting.

Changing that setting would have likely restarted the wireless radio which is probably what actually fixed the issue.

Very good point .. i'll try that ..

#edit ..

Yep, seems to be working fine at the higher speed again. Certainly something to remember for the future in case it happens again.
