I thought they said they would be telling her away from the cameras?
"Following the very sad news of David Bowie's death, we can now confirm that Angie Bowie has been informed off camera by her representatives. "

Angie told them it was OK to be broadcasted. Hms can decide whether they don't want it to be broadcasted in these circumstances

It's really low of Channel 5. I'm getting sick of this show thanks to them.

I actually like Angie very much.
She's a flawed, eccentric woman but then again, most of us are.

Hope she's okay x

Well they were hitting well below the belt when they set Winston up, they used him for ratings and controversy ( I do not agree with Winston's views ) So I would not put it past CH5 to use Bowie's Ex to push up their falling viewing figures.

I had hoped it would have been in private and her reaction not aired ...

They may have told her off camera - probably face to face and then when she decided to stay spoke to her in DR

We didnt see them tell her in that clip

Just to play devil's advocate, isn't Big Brother suppose to be a "social experiment"? What kind of social experiment would it be if we didn't see the full spectrum of human emotion, including grief?

Obviously I'd prefer they didn't show it but since the FB page said they were going to let her know off-camera, she must have given them permission or something.

She was told off camera and then allowed them to film that bit.

Exactly. They wouldn't have done it without her permission.

Wonder how much higher the ratings will go from folks tuning in to watch the sorry spectacle.

she clearly allowed them to show it, still think its very disrespectful for the family though...
It's not something that should be done, even if she happens to accept it. It's exploitative in the extreme.

Kind of disgusting to show it. Even if she said it was okay. Surprised they gave her an option about it. I felt rather uncomfortable seeing her like that. Poor Angie.

A housemate could die in the house and 5 would broadcast it.
