She was told off camera and then allowed them to film that bit.
They didn't have to film it at all and then to use the footage to promote tomorrow's show. It's about what I expect from this show now though

They may have told her off camera - probably face to face and then when she decided to stay spoke to her in DR

We didnt see them tell her in that clip

That's what I think happened too. As soon as she confiurmed she was remaining as a housemate, she was treated like one and they decided to show her in the DR.

And Angie is more than happy to stay and be exploited.
Exactly. What is BB supposed to do? Throw her out? Hide any part of "reality" that could be "exploited"?

They probably off camera said "we'll give you an extra £20,000 if you let us use it on the show"

A housemate could die in the house and 5 would broadcast it.
I've often wondered if this will ever happen! What the hell would they do?

Stay classy, 5.
I think I might give tomorrow's show a miss. Do we know where is this trail coming from?

Do you want it to be a reality show or not?

Just to play devil's advocate, isn't Big Brother suppose to be a "social experiment"? What kind of social experiment would it be if we didn't see the full spectrum of human emotion, including grief?

Obviously I'd prefer they didn't show it but since the FB page said they were going to let her know off-camera, she must have given them permission or something.
It stopped being a social experiment years ago, when they bought ex housemates and families in.

This. Even though people are saying she agreed, did it still really need to be filmed and in that ratings chaser trailer way???

If it was ever a social experiment, it still is. (Just a different experiment.) There's noting about bringing in ex-HMs or families that stops it from being a social experiment.

I'm sorry but I must admit that when I heard this morning, after the initial shock wore off a little I did think of how Angie would react. I am sure I am not the only one.

Exactly. Seeing how the HMs interact with their family members could be a social experiment on it's own.

Exactly... No contact with the outside world went through the window years ago.

From that small clip I've taken it as they told her off camera then she had that moment in the diary room at some point after the private talk but regardless I'm not sure it's right (permission or not from her) to show even just that

Although having said that I'm not sure how they'd avoid it either! If they didn't air that diary room part surely there would be more from throughout the day as it's probably dominated today either her being upset in various ways or you know other housemates making sure she's ok or whatever else? Maybe it dominated so much of the day after she knew that to cut it out would leave little else to show?

I actually like Angie very much.
She's a flawed, eccentric woman but then again, most of us are.

Hope she's okay x
I like her too and you are spot on with your comment.
I hope she's ok as well.

i'm more disgusted by the fact that there using it as some sort of next time trailer...
Exactly, even I didn't think they would actually stoop that low by making some tasteless trailer out of it

When Craig Charles' brother died in I'm A Celebrity, they informed him off camera and only showed the part where he explained to the rest that he would be leaving. It was short and dignified.

BB showed us a 'next time on' clip...the same day it happened!

felt bit uncomfortable watching the end of tonight's show seeing Angie's reaction to the news , and grabbing Jonathan and David Gest , not really necessary to show that

i knew if she stayed in house she'd be shown talking to HMs about David B perhaps, but in the DR having just heard the news was bit much, low ,

but ratings is more important and perhaps Angie wanted it shown on camera was to show she does care , even if she's been slating Bowie since she's been in the house, - she'll stop that now for sure !

Some occasional viewers may have wondered why it wasnt mentioned tonight, (not everyone watches it nightly) so BB showed clip to say it will be coverered tomorrow night instead and it is not being ignored

That's a key point, though: he left. She's staying.
