Do you want it to be a reality show or not?

I would agree with you if the show was a true 24hr reality show but it's not they cherry pick and show what they want.

Them showing it in tomorrow's show isn't the real problem here, it's them using it as a preview for tomorrow's show that is sad. It's low for them to pick someone's death and someone's grief for a preview for the next episode.

thats very insensitive of you.she clearly tried to hold it together then broke down in shock.
If she's in shock, why hasn't she been removed for her own good?

That's a key point, though: he left. She's staying.
eh, it was just the 'coming up' clip that I found a bit tasteless.

It's interesting to see where people draw the line. The letters from home, for example, are always exploitative, but no one seems to mind.

Regulations

Would they want to get sued? Of course not. They are not allowed to broadcast something like this. It's not a poxy row when celebs say 'you can't show this I'll call my lawyer' it's something bigger than that.

You are not allowed so C5 are in no trouble. She would have said 'yes you can broadcast my reaction'. I've worked in TV production. I know the basics

I actually like Angie very much.
She's a flawed, eccentric woman but then again, most of us are.

Hope she's okay x
Seconded.

And if they hadnt they would probably have been inundated with moans from occasional viewers or those who just tuned in tonight expecting to see some reference, saying why didnt they cover it

No, the key point is them making a next time on Big Brother preview out of it to get ratings.

Do you have some reason for thining Salv* is wrong, to back up that sarcasm?
Do you have some facts to think Salv (and a few others on here) are right ?

I don't need any.

But in another of Salv*'s posts: The clip we saw showed that she had already been told. She was told in private and have them the permission to film and broadcast the bit in the DR.

Do you disagree with that interpretation of the clip?

I said she WASi initially in shock.why should she be removed if shes not a danger to herself or others.yes shes an over indulgent old diva still living the halcyon days with bowie...and yes shes dined out on his name since but I believe her reaction was genuine.

Those who think it's wrong for BB to exploit her grief should boycott at least the episode in which it's done.

Otherwise, they're complicit.

Do you seriously think they would sit her on DR chair looking into camera and then have Big Bros voice PA'ed into room to tell her, do you, really?

She would have been taken to a room where a real person would have told her face to face and there would have been a professional in the room

Maybe because she's not a child and can make her own decisions.

Of course I do, it's being stated as if it's fact that she gave permission, when none of us out here know this is a fact. She may have, she might not have, why state it as a fact that she had ? That's the trouble with this place, all sorts of things are stated as if they are fact and then it's run with as if it is ! I have no problem with people saying, this MIGHT be the case, but why say it IS the case when you have no proof ?

So how would it work, if she hasn't given permission? She's decided to stay in the show. Does she imagine they won't show her grief and not care enough to ask? Or do you think she denied permission but BB's going to show it anyway?

Anyway, I think that viewers who think what BB's doing is wrong shouldn't watch, or else they're complicit. They should put their viewing time where their mouth is, so to speak.

That was very tacky. I'm used to this show being base and vapid, part of the guilty pleasure of watching it, but that "grief trailer" was just tacky as hell.
