Brainwashing? wow. There are fanboys and then there are BB housemate fanboys. WTF.
I bet you had never even heard of her before this series of BB. She cracked a one liner you liked and you decided then that you loved her and she is a wonderful human being and has to win. Yeah I get it.

Yes I had heard of Angie Bowie actually fyi , she's always a name coming up in documentaries about Bowie's music career and life that have been shown over past god knows how many years, as she was with him at his humble beginnings, and he married her

I never said she has to win , and you use the word 'fanboy' odd, don't get it.

If Bowie really did BLOCK Angie seeing her son as he grew up, and because of that she could never get contact with her son directly and have a relationship with her own son, and the son grew up not wanting anything to do with her , it could be he turned his son against his mother, which is exactly what Angie told David Gest she thinks Bowie did - so that's brainwashing i'm afraid.

But won't speak ill of the dead, I feel sorry for Angie not having a relationship at all with her son, and for him for not knowing his mother, noone wins, and he's now lost his father.

That's a key point, though: he left. She's staying.
If you had seen BOTS, she stated she was avoiding the press, and another reason she is staying.
She hasn't seen the guy in years, and by staying out the road and not taking the limelight from his family she made the best decision IMO.
She said herself, she was damned whatever she decided.

I'm not surprised that it's BB who are the first vultures to try and capitalise from David Bowie's death.
They won't be the first, but they got in there first.

they've only told Angie , what did you expect them to do, they had to
It was HER decision to have her reaction to his death aired, they asked her permission

can't see how CBB could have done anything else

they did cut Angie off and put cameras onto other HMs while she was obviously talking about something to do with Bowie earlier on live feed, so they seem to be treating this with some sensitivity at least.

A 13 year old can see for themselves the truth of a situation. This is the same guy who aged 11 decided he didn't want to be called Zowie anymore. This is the same guy who as a child resisted every attempt by his father to get him to learn a musical instrument; he had no interest in music and his dad couldn't change his mind. I doubt very much he was influenced by anyone or anything apart from his mother's behaviour and attitude towards him as a child.

"‘We stopped communicating when I was 13 and it was the right choice then and I’m convinced it’s still the right choice now. She’s a woman who didn’t have a very positive effect on my upbringing so I think it was the right move."

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/mosl...hers-name.html

Didn't she say that she was a Heroin addict at one time? I wouldn't think a Heroin addict would be a very positive influence on her child.

I suppose this was all around the time of the break up and he would have been old enough to see for himself - she also said that she wouldn't have taken the boy from his father.

I suspect she's full of regrets - it was probably a crazy and unhappy time. I'm not surprised that there has been ill feeling and no contact. Some things are almost impossible to forgive.

I can't help feeling that her tears were 100% genuine - it'll be hard for anyone to fully understand her mix of emotions - guilt, sorrow, regret.

All very sad.

I haven't blamed Angie for anything. I'm just making the point that BB are all over it like a rash.
When was the last time BB ever promoted the following night's show with anything, let alone a death?

She was given the news off camera........she clearly gave her permission to broadcast her reaction.
Her comment, 'Stardust is gone', was somewhat strange given what she's said about the guy in recent days.
She was only married to him for 10 years (30 years ago), their split was acrimonious & never ever improved over the years, with both equally poisonous about each other!

So we're supposed to believe she's grieving even though she clearly hated the man and hadn't seen him in 40 years? She was bad mouthing him the day he died.

BTW: Just catching up on episodes. I know that Bowie, the Stones, etc. were all mixed up with each other 40 odd years ago. Are we supposed to conclude that The Rolling Stones song "Angie" is actually about this woman? Has she ever claimed that herself? I've always wondered if Bowie dropping her like a stone (pun intended) was because she was banging all his mates like a rabbit.

And Angie is more than happy to stay and be exploited.
I am guessing she needs the money quite badly to do this

Angie told them it was OK to be broadcasted. Hms can decide whether they don't want it to be broadcasted in these circumstances
How do we know they asked for permission to show what happened in the diary room? Angie had already given them permission when she signed her contract to enter the BB house.

I said yesterday when most of you posted that she would leave the house...

She will stay to try to win an Oscar.

Angie said she wanted to be away from the media. Well she is in a goldfish bowl in BB and the media will hang on to her every word. I really feel for her.

Probably separating the artist from the man. As she said an era has ended. Whatever her personal issues I am sure she recognises his contribution to the music industry especially as she was part of its beginnings.

Those who think it's wrong for BB to exploit her grief should boycott at least the episode in which it's done.

Otherwise, they're complicit.
Spot on.

she was told off camera.
the stuff shown was stuff she agreed to being shown

and it helps her as she made a couple of points aimed at the audience not the house
1) she's doomed whether she left or did not
2) she can hide from the media who will no doubt harass her about something that ended badly 30 years ago for an "angle" (and the media will be looking for a day 2, day 3 follow up story on DB's death and with each day the "focus" of that story will drift from the nice.

it doesnt help so many people have seen the "exploited" by other tv channel clips of BB footage out of context to people who barely know anything more than what time eastenders is on - you know they types who go "ahhh" when a cute thing appears on tv, especially on loose women audiences or think itv's lorraine has a grown up adult way of talking to guests.

IMO this is a classic case of "thin line between love and hate". I believe she was in shock, and I won't be surprised if she leaves the house in the next day or so.

Yep.

It really is no coincidence that Angie Bowie (who no one has spoken or heard about for years) has somehow randomly turned up on our tellies at the same time her ex husband dies.

BB know exactly what they're doing.

The poster is trying to show how C5 will show/exploit anything that the housemates allow. As with that girl from ex on the beach the other night when she was talking about her granddad's death.

I'm not talking about Angie milking it - I have no doubt that she feels incredibly sad. I know she couldn't stand him but it is a big part' of her life that has come to an end. She will have memories -she will have regrets - she will be thinking of her own mortality.

I just think the 'timing' of the Angie booking was no accident. BB have no shame in their quest for controversy.
