I dont know what has happened between them and it is none of our business but sometimes in these situations family members start to talk to each other again so maybe Angie leaving the house at this upsetting time could be a good thing for her

I doubt it. If something tragic happened in my dads life, I still wouldnt want anything to do with him, plus, shes not leaving the house.

Yes, I'm sure he will wait for her to finish exploiting the Bowie name on a reality show then they will all live happily ever after..........

NoI don't think he will get in touch at this time. He might one day but not in the next couple of weeks. For one he will be busy with funeral arrangements, winding up the estate etc. After 30 years they will be virtual strangers. Why would you want a stranger on your space at such a time?

I think it unlikely
He has a step mum and half sister, plus he's a very grown man.

I don't know how you make that out. The Bowie name is hers also. She is Angie Bowie and whilst if course, David was the musical genius, the whiole bowie brand was created by both of them. She managed the beginning if his career and deserves to be recognised.

I totally agree with this in regard to how much of an influence and promoter she was for David Bowie when he was unknown and when he was a rising star. She fought tooth and nail to get him gigs, airplay and recognition and did a brilliant job of it.

The thing I find hard to forgive her for is speaking on chat shows (like Geraldo!) about her son and hurtful stuff he had said to her when he was only in his early teens. That is not something to exploit and talk about to the world. He was barely 20 when she was embarrassing him by bringing up all that stuff again for a book she was selling. Her son should not have been exploited in that way. I don't mind what she said about David Bowie, he said stuff about her as well. But your kids should be left out of it.

I do hope she and her son reconcile someday. He is actually missing out by not knowing her as an adult - in my opinion anyway.

Through choice! Why would you keep the name of a bloke you can't stand?

Well in a similar way to why Tina kept the name of the man that allegedly beat and raped her.

While obviously not as big a star Angie still had built a bit of a career as a model, actress, minor celebrity under the 'Angie Bowie' name. I mean to be fair David left the marriage with the 'David Bowie' career and Angie didn't get any of that.

And don't forget 'Bowie' is a stage name for both David and Angie.

It would be nice if the son reached out to his mother at this time but if not that is very said. He is 44 years of age and a film director I am sure he could get in contact with his mother if really he wanted to.

Angie is getting on with her life as she should and is staying in the house for reasons why she went in there in the first place to be Angie and not what everyone thinks she should be!

Yes. But probably after the funeral etc when he has time to reflect on losing a parent - not immediately.

Oh yes I had forgotten that. That was her entire divorce settlement wasn't i?

Ike wanted to strip her of everything on the grounds that he had made her and therefore all the money earned, property bought etc was his. And he tried to stop her from using the name Tina Turner. She agreed he could keep all the maritial assets but fought to keep her name.

Was she really a model of any standing? Most of the old pics of her are dead ropey. What IS Angie Bowie apart from DB's ex?

Why would either of them get in contact with each other? It's been 30 years for god sake. I very much doubt that they one day just suddenly decided to stop speaking to each other after a row. They probably exhausted every avenue of a relationship years ago.

Looked at through today's eyes I agree but she had a very iconic look for her time. The 70's look was androgenous and other worldly (a trend that the Bowies probabaly led). I can see how she fitted into the time line of imagery and can believe that she was probably significant in that era.

Yeah - I remember her being a trend setter and her and David were like the coolest couple around. Looking back now (through older eyes) - she was obviously the edgey/dangerous/experimental one - she was (can't think of the right ward) somewhat aloof and quite intimidating.

I think the split may have come about as David (in spite of his image) was 'straighter' and after having a child became more responsible. It seems like Angie was a bit out of control - she has spoken of Heroin addiction.

She was a HUGE part of crating his early 'cool' image and it seems like a lot on here don't or wont acknowledge it but she was very much part of the package.

I think he 'got rid' when she became a bit out of control.

I know that's ^^ not very clear but I know what I mean. I think a lot of Brits kind of sighed with relief when they split - she seemed to get odder and odder and it was all a bit weird.

I think you can still see that 'craziness' in her in the BB house.

How would any of us know? We don't know either of them personally and just because one person wouldn't doesn't mean another would be the same.
