She's a 23 year old woman and she had to ask what "pandemonium" and "incarceration" meant.. Also after being told, 5 minutes later the word came out again and she said "what does that mean"
My wife is Polish, only been here 10 years and she knew what it meant and could even spell them.

Why are so many young British women so thick

It's not 'so many' British women just the type that end up on shows like 'ex on the beach' and Big Brother.

Those are relatively obscure words; I don't think that not knowing them means someone is especially thick.

They're not that obscure, you may have just proved my point

I suspect it's because they don't read books for pleasure, too busy taking selfies and posting their exploits on social media.

She also thinks it's still the 20th century. How can anyone with an education be so stupid ?

I don't particularly read books for pleasure. I still know the words 'incarceration' and 'pandemonium' and know what century it is.

I think Megan's stupidity is more to do with her upbringing and the sort of person she is than anything else. It's quite clear to me she's spent her life just wanting to be famous and hasn't bothered with education because, "you don't need to clever to be a celebrity". This is her fourth reality show we know about. She's probably tried out for tonnes more too.

Pandemonium: An apartment complex for Chinese bears.
Incarceration: Mobile alchemy service.

Not hard is it?

That's no good, Megan would ask what apartment and alchemy meant.

She was like it on Ex on the Beach to.

It's not the education system, it's the pupil. She's half-decent looking but her stupidity is a major turn-off.

What an insulting comment!

pandemonium is not in the top 20,000 most used words in English.
incarceration isn't in the top 12,000.

Yep. She's just not very bright. And it's not very attractive.

I think it's a combination of all the reasons given above. She isn't very bright, she doesn't read much, she values celebrity above all else.

She's making quite a bit of money for three weeks work as a result, though, isn't she?

She doesn't need such skills.

She can however pout, undress, lay on her back, - she'll go a long way!

I thought the same, when she didn't know the meaning of pandemonium....however, one thing in her favour is that at least she will ask what it means, so maybe there is a glimmer of hope for her!

If your whole career is based on your looks and you have little education there comes a point when the looks fade and you have nothing going for you

She also didn't know what monogamy meant... and this is just what we've seen on the highlights. She's stunning IMO, but she's so thick it just ruins it.

Really? Being smart doesn't make you a good person and being dumb doesn't make you a bad one. An intelligent person could have absolutely nothing else going for them, but a stupid person could be polite, sweet and caring.

Unfortunately she's none of those either.

I think it's immensely sad when young people display such stupidity. I'd feel an abject failure as a parent if my son or daughter displayed such ignorance.

I don't think the concept of monogamy has ever entered the minds of the 4 younger ones in there - irrelevant to their lifestyles I would think

There's so many intelligent young people out there, it's sad that these idiots are the ones held up for our approval.
