True

There's no big character to carry the show for them ... that they can ultimately turn on, purely out of spite

Oh I know and I never post or believe conspiracy theories but I just cant get my head around this. Maybe they are just shooting an hour's TV and have all day to play out and rehearse this. I can't see anyone else apart from Angie, John, David and Tiffany being in on it. To be honest I have no idea anymore!

I thought it was disgusting that Big Brother was trying to disguise a laugh when Angie returned to the DR after the initial confusion. "Take a moment Angie" was said with a hint of amusement and relish. Totally disrespectful considering the situation.

I don't think this farce was set up but Big Brother should've intervened quickly, explaining things to the housemates. Not doing so was exploitive. In fact they should have given Angie, and Angie alone, the clear option of saying nothing or telling the housemates together to avoid any misunderstandings.

It was an unfortunate misunderstanding but Big Brother let it spiral. Angie has talked about her marriage to David quite a few times in the house, she probably thought Tiffany would automatically know who she meant. I mean how likely is it that BB would allow a terminally ill person into the house then let the day continue as normal after they had passed away. Angie didn't get a chance to clarify, yes she could've said 'my ex husband David' from the start, but it was natural for her to just say David, after which Tiffany went off the deep end elsewhere in the house.

OK Tiffany initially made an innocent mistake but she shouldn't have kept on once she'd realised it was Bowie. She outright lied in the garden about Angie saying 'Gest' which she never once said. She also denied making a mistake to Darren when she obviously had. The ranting and raving was excessive and there were indications that she was going to physically attack Angie when she ran out of the bedroom and advanced towards her in the kitchen. What was that laughing to herself in the garden all about?! I don't have a hard time believing she kept up more of the same behaviour during the periods we didn't see given how irate she was when we did see her. I can see why some think certain hms were out of order towards her but she should've reined it in after hearing that Angie had meant her ex-husband. The hms were wrong in continuing to ostracising her after things had calmed down but emotions were still running high and she had been out of order.

Tonight was amazing TV but I really feel now that it was fake and pretty low if it was. Let's face it it was a scene that Only Fools and Horses would be proud of but I've watched it a few times and now I've stopped laughing at it, it just seems really planned.

Angie goes to the diary room and is in there for a while. Whilst in there John and David would have been called in by BB whilst she's still there. All the housemates would have heard that and after so many series they always think that there are tasks happening, even after the box task Jonathan had been shown to have been part of. yet no one knew anything was up.....

Angie, John and David could have been briefed and it feels weird to me that the two asked to support Angie then disappeared. In the real world if David had felt ill, wouldn't John have said "look, I need a quick shower, I will be five mins and then you can go to bed". No they both left the woman that had received bad news to sit and fester on her own with people that she doesn't know well.

Angie has threatened to leave and didn't take the opportunity to when she could have.

Then Tiffany gets told, despite them being mortal enemies the other day and Angie is deliberately unspecific. Ok when John and David G came into the diary room she only said "David has died" but it worked then as both would have known/known of David Bowie. Surely after a week Tiffany, if she had been such a fan of Bowie, would have revealed that to Angie. If she hadn't surely Angie would have clicked that Tiffany thought Gest had died and not Bowie.

Tiffany was told but didn't question much about what had happened, she just went into extreme shock - ok I can understand that as the house and housemates become their whole life. Angie also made it sound like David had just died, leading to more confusion. Tiffany didn't question David had come into the house with cancer or what had happened to his body, that he had died so suddenly, or even question that it was David Gest. Angie didn't question Tiff's extreme reaction to her ex's death or click that Tiff had got it wrong. Angie would have heard Tiff telling them David had died as she was still faffing around saying she had made a mistake.

David Gest also conveniently was wrapped up like a corpse at the exact time that this was happening to add to the mystery. Normally he'd be sat outside with Darren and Dani having a fag or and this really surprises me - even a sick David would not have passed up the chance not to sit quietly with Angie and talked about David, he loves being in the thick of it! John was also no where to be seen to clarify what had happened and didn't think he would be needed to keep an eye on Angie when his role has been cast as the house dad? Also with 15 housemates in the house no one was in either the kitchen and living area, they were all dispersed to allow Angie and Tiffany to have that confused moment.

When David's "Body" was found, no one seemed to click it could be another David or calm things down. Even Darren admitted he thought Gest was dead but he, or no one else, understood the possible shock that Tiffany first would have felt that her housemate was dead, or the fact that Tiffany may have been angry that Angie may have played a sick joke. Everyone seemed more keen that Tiffany was ejected - what for a mistake? Yes, Tiffany over reacted but they all acted similar when they thought David Gest was dead, she all ran around screaming. There's either so much we didn't see and haven't seen about Tiffany to cause this - or it was so heavily planned that they all stuck to the script,

I've never felt BB was this heavily manipulated but now things just don't add up,”

Agreed! The extreme reaction toward Tiffany gave it away for me!

But you are forgetting BB had several hours to prepare. They don't drag them out of bed until about 10 am. The intern who came up with the plot is on a bonus though.

Big Brother and Channel 5 will keep getting away with doing these disgusting things as long as there are mugs who believe its all real. ( I suppose i will be banned again for saying this).

Just watching the daytime repeat now, While being comforted by Darren and someone else, Angie just said

"I didn't say David Gest, I said David, but I didn't say Bowie"

That moment it looks like the penny dropped for her, Angie realised exactly what the misunderstanding was and was spelling it out to her housemates.

Unfortunately Instead of actually listening and giving it some thought, John then set about rallying his lench mob.

I've seen loads of comments judging the various parties involved, but in a John-esque manner I am deeming myself king and will deliver judgement as such

Angie & Tiffany - Both were in a state of shock and alarm, not fair to judge them really.

David (Gest) - Sick in bed

John - Fully aware of the Bowie situation, smart enough to have worked out what was going on, but instead chose to let the confusion & hysterics run amock

Big Brother - As above.

Rest of House - Similar position to Angie and Tiff, although maybe not at the epicentre, confused and bemused

I can pick two stand out villains of this piece.

BB didn't set it up this time but should have stepped in before it got too out of hand but as arguments are seen as 'entertainment' in this era of the show they let it go on for a little while longer than it should have

Uncomfortable viewing for sure but they got what they were looking for like with Winston, this time admittedly unintentionally, in terms of ratings and people, media and otherwise, talking about it whether it be for good or bad reasons

Tiffany behaved more like a deranged toddler than someone in alarm and distress.

They could have done with Supernanny and a naughty step.
