Angie made it all about her. She hadn't seen him for over 30 years!! She really just made it all about her!!
The only person to mention him was Daniella. Her son should have been the only person she was concerned about. Even though they are estranged, she is still his Mother ffs!!

I know but as she hasnt seen David Bowie for 30 years, I would have thought that the only reason she should be so upset about it would be hecause it would deeply affect her son.

We don't see everything. She could well have talked about her son, just not in the edit.

She may not have seen DB for 30 years, but he was still a part of her life that the door had just closed on, everyone has some sort of feelings when that happens. She hasn't seen her son since he was 13, he said he hated her and didn't want to see her again, he's a grown man with a family, of course he's going to be ok, he has them to look after him.

She might have mentioned him, we only see a small snippet of the day, but the fact that they are estranged I feel like it's probably more sensitive of her not to mention him. It could be construed in the wrong way.

Where is everyone getting the 30 years from?

She said in the diary room that she hadn't seen him for a 'few' years. It's quite possible they have met since they divorced.

They were also married for nearly 10 years, you can't be married for that long and not be affected by a death, no matter how emotional the divorce.

This article from the Standard should make it clearer:

Interesting article. And by that piece an interesting and complex woman although not an easy one to like/get close to i suspect.

In a way, I think she protests too much in articles like that, her anger at the past seems totally disproportionate to something she describes as just a 'marriage of convenience'. It seems more like cognitive dissonance.

It's hard to judge her, good or bad, she is all over the place reallyI don't think even she knows what she is thinking half the time!

She certainly is complex and probably difficult to live with . Although that article was written in 2006 it says she was then living with a construction engineer called Michael for the past 13yrs . I hope they still are together .

Well, that and because it gets her more attention.

I've seen the claim "four decades", which can't quite be true since they divorced in 1980, but I suppose 30-35 is quite possible. It sounds like she barely saw the son for a few years after, then stopped contact with him too.

Surprisingly I don't think she was attention seeking over this at all..her reaction was shock but much calmer than I expected.
