I think that reading through that it's fairly easy to see that she's put a big shell round herself over the years, even the interviewer doesn't believe her when she says about it not being a big deal about her son, because while saying it she looks upset. She comes across to me as if she can't bear to show any weaknesses to anyone and it's her that she's trying to convince that she doesn't care, not anyone else.

Having watched the Bowie marriage from the beginning, I think Angie has been deeply hurt by Bowies rejection of her over the years and has formed this defence mechanism in that she calls Bowie and his family etc to make it look like she is independent/doesn't need them etc.
I think she's been very damaged over the whole affair. I believe I could see that in her when she was sitting in the diary room. She knows she can never talk/put right things between them now and it's overwhelmed her. I honestly believe Bowie was the love of her life.. That's my take on it. |

I don't think she ever got over Bowie..... .
Of course her grief and confusion are genuine. No-one can know how she feels, and it is callous to dismiss her feelings so casually. |

This.. Although they split up she has never let him go. People like her are not totally in touch with their feelings, and she is obviously deeply bitter and hurt despite all the years which have passed.

I agree with both of these posts, she tries too hard to make out that she doesn't care, when it's more than obvious if you watch her that she really, really does.
