I understand that there are folk who may not be aware of who David was but I think he means a lot more to others than you give him credit for, both young and old. There haven't been many individuals over the years whose passing has initiated a surge of heartfelt tributes on such a scale including ones from the prime minister, the leader of the opposition, the Archbishop of Canterbury and a representative of the pope.
Regardless of whether Tiffany did or didn't know of him though I can see why she would have got the wrong end of the stick and been horror struck. But I can also see why Angie, caught up in the moment and the shock of it all, just assumed Tiffany would know what David she was referring to. I think the whole nightmare scenario was based on misunderstandings that were not deliberately made by either of them. Despite the subject matter being very sad though I admit I found the ridiculousness of it all, especially everyone checking on David Gest under the duvet, hugely funny.
