Angie Bowie is only famous because of who she was once married to so I guess it's understandable that she would assume that "David" would mean "David Bowie" to everyone else in the house! Is it really horrible of me to think that there was a Channel 5 producer feeling slightly gleeful when they heard the news - a music icon is dies when his ex-wife is actually in the BB house - ratings gold!

Everyone is also presuming that Tiffany would know who David Bowie was. Why should she?

If she has been living with his ex-wife for a week I would guess she has probably heard of him.

how I saw it too with Tyfannys memory, she was in such a state then to get picked on was horrible, but no wonder she got the wrong end of the stick.... who else would think a David from outside the house and such a famous David..... was all Angies fault.

It played out like the lost episode of Faulty Towers and I don't believe it was anything else but completely genuine.
None of them have the comedy timing to have pulled it off if it was scripted......except, perhaps for David Guest.
In this case the only thing his part required was to keep still and not laugh.

One thing that is clear from that is that that Tiffany did lie when she told Darren that Angie didnt just say "David had died" but had said "David Gest had died"

Well, she may be only known by some for being David Bowies wife, but in the early days when David was an unknown she worked tirelessly to get him gigs and so forth. They worked as a team and the Bowie name was sort of a brand name for them both.

She was also a model in her own right and has appeared in a few films I believe and is also an author. So whilst she isn't as famous as David, nowhere near, she did have quite a part to play in the initial stages of his career, quite a lot in fact.

So did Tiffany ask which David or did Angie say David Gest as Tiffany claimed?

Bereaved woman you are supposed to be supporting Big Brother, yet you totally ignored this and did absolutely nothing to intervene.

Why?

It's perfectly understandable that Tiffany thought Angie was talking about David guest, therefore her reaction was understandable, but..................once she realised that Angie was referring to David Bowie, instead of apologising, she went on the attack, claiming Angie told her it was David Guest.........any sympathy I had for Tiffany, flew out the window at that point!

Not really she clearly didn't know what had gone down until Danielle told her the error. Her concern was her attempt to keep the news low key had just been blown apart.

But that is exactly my point! Big Brother knew Angie didn't want to share the news with the rest of the house. If they gave a damn about her wellbeing they would have called Tiffany to the Dairy room to prevent Angie's wishes from being violated.

...But they didn't BB remained tight lipped throughout.

The BB sentry was a bit slow but it did happen in a matter of seconds once Tiff had the bit between her teeth and i doubt she would have responded to a DR summons at that point. Angie went to DR as soon as it all blew up and I suspect their priority at that point was her well-being.

I'm sure all the hassle could have been avoided if Angie had used the words "David, my ex husband has died"........ instead of just coming out with "David's dead" and shocking Tiffany out of the blue like that. Even when Tiff was having a meltdown asking her if she was joking, Angie still could have been more clear in who she was referring to. Don't forget, Angie had previously been telling them all that she has nothing to do with David Bowie and hadn't seen him in 40 years... and goes to great lengths to avoid him, so I can understand why Tiffany presumed she meant David Gest, seeing as he was the only David around.

I feel that Angie is the main drama queen in the house judging from what I've seen of her since she went in.

If anyone could handle being isolated in that house, it's Tiffany , so no sympathy for her but think John and Daniella were particularly heavy handed about it and thinking they had right to tell her she should leave was very arrogant , they're only other HMs
