Wasn't it just. Right, so now with some sort of order restored to my head, my review of Malec goes something like this:

And
Matt Daddario's summation of what happens:
Quote:
“"So he looks down and sees this wonderful man and he hops down there and he smooches (emphasis his here!) that man right on the face right in front of everyone."”
The whole episode, on the back of last week's, was nothing short of brilliant. The pacing was superb, the contrast between the excitement of the wedding, the darkness and the broken dreams of Clace, Malec seemingly ending as Magnus accepts defeat, the death of Ragnor Fell - who'd only been on screen for like 5 minutes but I was tearing up!
Then the Sizzy,
Simon looking smoking hot in one of Raphael's suits, Lydia just being an all round decent person, and I'm so glad they took that route with her, she could have been a cliche just to foil Malec but she's really brought depth and insight into the Clave and how "the law is the law" has stifled and constricted the Shadowhunters in everything they do.
And we also got Jace and Alec at the Bachelor Party which Izzy got Simon's help to create and finally a heart to heart between parabatai which laid it all out on the table and addressed the two elephants in the room - Valentine's revelation and Alec's wedding. Another superb scene with Dom and Matt and I've become more impressed with Dom as the show has gone on.
We also had a lovely Alec and Clary scene where they mutually recognised they'd both made mistakes and both helped each other out and things might not be quite so bleak as both originally thought.
And then the betrayal I knew was coming as a book reader but which was still superbly done. Hodge attacks Lydia, steals the cup and finally contacts Valentine. Jon Cor has been brilliant as their version of Hodge, rather than the elderly and more scholarly version in the book.
Can't believe there's only one episode left and, from the promo,
So, Shadowhunters, you've gone from a show I watched for the pretties and because I'd enjoyed the books when they came out a few years ago into an obsession.
You're in good company, only Merlin, Glee and The West Wing have ever done that before. I know they've now started work on Season Two but if I've got to wait until next January I'm gonna be dying!
