I think there are some fantasies beyond a dancing partnership going on in this thread.

Yes I definitely would go and see them!

What I didn't say when I talked about Pasha's show is that it is in small theatres all over the country, so those who cannot get to large arenas, or don't want to, are able to see a good professional dancing show within easy reach of where they live. It could work.

I speculated about my ideal Aliona Tour a few years ago....

QUOTE=fatskia;71856769]Now the tour has finished, it left me thinking what would be my ideal Aliona tour be like?

Vilani choreography.
5 pairs of dancers to do a 3 pair group dance at the start of each half of the show and maybe a 5 pair finishing dance.
The best versions of the best songs chosen to choreograph to and instead of a live band, have really good sets, lighting etc.
The five pairs do one dance each in each half of the show.

Show starts with a compere/comedian and 4 audience seats at the side of the stage.
4 'members of the audience' come in, one at a time to find their seat.
First - an Italian cowboy (like out of Village People) who has just finished acting on a spaghetti western called Brokeback Pasta.
Second - a prudish Pearly King full of cockney rhyming slang and innuendo sayings.
Third - an ex-stripper called Darlene who is a bit of a lush and wants dances sexed-up.
Fourth - an Australian Bob the builder (out of Village People) who is always planning his next erection and each time he says 'daaarling', Darlene thinks he's talking about her.

After each pair danced their individual dances, the stage 4 would comment ( a bit like the Strictly tour), so the choreography would have to provide a good basis for the comments and comedy.[/quote]

I think the theory that Aliona and Vincent now want to move on to having a family is probably true - so I don't expect Aliona to be committing to other things for a while.

A dancing partnership makes no sense though as their skill levels are poles apart. It'd be like a teacher and student dancing all the time - pretty tiring for her as she'd have to spend ages training him unless they just repeated the dances they've already done which would get boring.

Yes definitely but unfortunately can't see them doing one.

Look it's highly likely its going to happen but I would like it to happen and would pay good money to attend the shows.. And alionas taught him so much in a matter of months so who says she cant in the long run. But the thread is would people want to go see a Jay and aliona show and I'm pretty sure a ALOT of people would. And also who says she didn't enjoying training Jay to be the dancer he is did she personally tell you?? I'm intrigued.

I think a lot of people would love to see their jive again but I'm not sure that many people would pay to see a whole show with them in it - it would have to have some other kind of pull like the tour has with other performers. People pay to see professional dancers but Jay isn't one. He'd need a lot more training to get to that level and why would Aliona give up so much of her free time and energy to do that?

I don't know who says that as I didn't. I'm sure she did enjoy the SCD experience but I'm not so sure she wants to turn into Jay's full-time dance teacher with no pay. She could easily earn that money by doing a show with another professional dancer instead. I just don't think the demand is there for a Jay/Aliona show beyond a niche fantasy.

Definitely not. I'd go and see a show with Aliona dancing with another professional, but not with Jay. He was a good beginner, and some of his Latin was very nice, but if I go to a show I want to see real dancers not beginners.

Oh Definitely most certainly is a fantasy I'm not saying it's going to happen but I'm just merely saying I would love it to happen quite a difference their.

Like a broken record.. Still waving the personality card around are we, he has much more personality than anyone who has been on the show, I think you have just failed to see it which is understandable the popular one always gets the most slack. Which Jay has gotten and you cannot deny that because ironically you're one of those who's giving the slack funny isn't it??

I would definitely go. I actually begrudge how much I've paid when I only really want to see J&A. I've been to the tour before and enjoyed it but I'd pay double to just watch J&A for an hour.

If they had to do much smaller venues than the strictly tour does, even better imo!

I'm not interested in either of their lives off the dance floor.
But yes, I'd love to see more of them dancing.
And while I'm unashamedly a Jaliona fan, would love to see GG with them, rather than them on their own. Different strengths, different styles, would make for a great programme IMO.
Don't really mind what dances either.

Doesn't mean I think it'll happen, as I don't, but that's not what the OP asked.

I'd quite like another couple with them too, but not GG. Maybe Aljaž and Oti for a bit of sophistication. (Doesn't have to be another sleb in my dream.)

Me too - I'd like to see Aliona's choreography a bit more - with longer dances. She could go to town with Jay!

No, but I'd love see Giovanni and Joanne in a dance show

I would love to see a Jay and Aliona tour. Why not try a handful of shows at smallish venues around the country to gauge the demand first?

Exactly what I was hoping I think starting at small venues will be awesome while you have strictly on TV a mainstream TV show and then we have aliona and Jay dancing in small venues trying to make it big.. I feel like aliona is the only versatile pro and can make anything work

Definitely, because there are quite a few (okay, I mean all) of the dances I would like to see again. Also, as much as I liked the rumba, I'd much rather the second tour dance was a tango or a paso, so a J & A tour would give me another chance to see them again.
Unfortunately I don't think it will happen, but I would be very happy to be proved wrong.
