It's irritating how he tries to play the hero all the time, nominating Darren to save him from going down a dark path! Nominating someone is a negative, but he's masking it, trying to make out its a good thing and he's a hero, trying to save Darren from a path of self destruction. And he's now planted that idea about Darren and his addictive personality into the other housemates' heads so they can use it as an excuse for a nomination in the future - he's a devious game player.

As he delivered that nomination he had a vile smirk on his face. He definitely sees Darren as competition. I can't effing stand him. When are they gonna wise up to him?

Why shouldn't Darren smoke as much as he wants,what's it got to do with him.Cant stand John he's such a two faced snake and I think Darren is too much completion for him because Darren is a far nicer person,so I hope John is up for eviction next time to take him down a peg or two.

I agree with everything everyone has said here. John is a nasty piece of work. Don't forget he knew well in advance that he was to nominate face to face. He had plenty of time to think about this - about who to nominate and how he was going to word it for maximum effect.

The irony of him telling him to relax etc earlier knowing he would deliver the body blow in the nominations.

Couldn't believe it when John turned on the tears when Darren was talking to him. Not such a good actor after all. I really don't like him now. Darren was right - if it was your mate, wouldn't you speak to them and motivate them to quit the fags (even tho imo it was a stupid reason to nom him)

Agreed, where has all his compassion for her gone? Talk about kick someone when they're down. And I don't think Angie has been milking the situation at all, not from what we've seen.

He is passive aggressive, and always twists it back round so that people think they are wrong and he is right, the way he talked to Daren was like a controlling husband putting down his beaten down wife.

It's Darren's coping mechanism, what makes John an expert on what's right or wrong for Darren?
Presumably if he didn't have the cigs he'd be more at risk of hitting the bottle.
