I found the scene with John and Tiffany in the garden quite disturbing. Tiffany was very submissive and cowed by John's "advice". He was very demeaning to her. Creepy creepy guy.
I can't get over how he threw Darren under a bus like that either! Knowing how Darren is in the house to try and change people's perception of him being an addict.... and John comes out with something like that, over cigarettes! Jeeze, who needs a mate like that! Very very snide indeed! When he asked Tiff if it was 'lonely' being angry, I wish she could have said 'it's probably about as lonely as it is where you are on your high horse' ![]() Well, I was expecting to like him when he went in the house, but now I just want to shout GET JOHN OUT!

Very very snide indeed! Darren and John are similar ages and if Darren gets his act together and is rehabilitated in the publics eye he could quite easily get roles John goes for too. Billy Flynn a prime example. He was also out of order because I think the day the housemates had had was a rather exceptional one. If Darren needed a cigarette or 30 to help him out, I don't see an issue there. Better than the alternative. I might be looking too deep into this but it was a very definite dig/reminder about Darren's past issues not just a 'I don't think he's happy here' type of remark. |

He is passive aggressive, and always twists it back round so that people think they are wrong and he is right, the way he talked to Daren was like a controlling husband putting down his beaten down wife.

No matter Darrens softer demeanor he wont forget this. and no wonder.. this is a man whos turned his life around by getting off drugs and booze and people were liking and getting on with him... until rentamouth had to remind them of his failings ..... Darrens eyes near popped out his head and he jumped in to say it was only ciggies and nothing else.. probably as not to let his family down or harm his career.... this idiot Partridge only cares about no 1 and lets nothing stand in his way...

He went through a period of being in the tabloids A LOT for his "love rat" antics.
This sums it up http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...ing-girth.html I know that some believe that people never change, but I'd like to think that people aren't judged for the rest of their life on theor previous misdemeanours if they genuinely do want to change who they are, or were. |

Isn't there a point where you give someone a chance? That was quite a few years ago, and I'm not sure that Darren is necessarily seen as desirable as he may once have been.

There's no denying Darren Day had a bit of a shady past but he really does seem to have got his act & life together so, much as I neither like or dislike him, fair play to him for turning things around. |

You'd wonder why John didn't nominate Daniella for the same reasons.....
Would it be because he knows she wouldn't take such crap? He knows Darren is a soft touch and he's easier to manipulate than Daniella; and make no mistake, what he did last night was manipulation, pure and simple. I think he's despicable. |

I don't mind game players but sanctimonious Saint John has crossed the line in his desperation to win. The only consolation is, his snide, sly plan looks as if it's is going to spectacularly backfire. |

In normal everyday circumstances, someone like John is soon sussed out. Unfortunately, in an atmosphere like the BB house where most people start off feeling vulnerable, his faux concern and enveloping love for all, can seem like a lifeline. However, I imagine most of the housemates saw a bit of the real John after his pontificating about Darren. Especially as Darren didn't, quite rightly, let it go right away.
What Darren has achieved is absolutely monumental, and if mentioned at all, should be lauded. A recovering addict will forever feel fragile and vulnerable. They have been to hell and know that they are only one drink/fix away, at all times. To play on those vulnerabilities is emotionally abusive. I hope that Darren can take the attitude of F*ck you mate, I'll show you! He can do this best by distancing himself from John, but I fear he may still see him as a friend.....which he absolutely isn't. He's a conniving, manipulative narcissist. |

completely agree with your post.. its all backfired on John.. he took the man down in a terrible way and Darren must have been really worried in case his wife thought he d done much worse than a fag..you could see the panic and shock in his face.... Wrong on so many levels John.

Darren gives full credit to his lovely wife for helping him get through it all.
Hopefully he can get his career back to some degree. |

Remember when John and Darren was in the other room. They were talking and John said at first he was going to be all nice to everyone ...then turn round and basically fist them......I dont suppose Darren thought he meant him.

The woman who played his mother in law said she was surprised he did that to Darren, I don't suppose they can really slag each other off if there's a chance they may have to work together again.
