Everyone's having a go at John but Darren is just as insincere

Darren is a very self-aware bloke. He just comes across like he did in the 1st series of I'm A Celebrity back in the day. A little bit fake and insincere. He tries to play everyone's mate and the humble, misunderstood Darren but his ego is still surfacing under there somewhere.
There's always been something about him I cant quite put my finger on, but it's to do with being slightly insincere and trying to keep his conceit in check.
John, on the other hand, is proudly showing off his insincerity and not-at-all-kept-in-check conceit.

The problem with John isn't just that he's insincere.
Darren so far has at least shown good intent towards other housemates whether he's sincere or not.

John is nasty

Darren told John he loves him, then kissed him. Darren did the exact same thing to 534 women back in the day. He was sincere then and is equally sincere now. He has reformed.

Never cared much for Darren with his history of how he treated the women in his life... but last night I felt for him.. he so thought John was his best buddy in there from day one... and wanted to be liked by him, why I dont know as John is a horrible devious human being... who uses people.... he wanted Darren out the picture as he saw him as competition, and in fact Darren was devastated that the public and probably his family would think he had failed again when John came over his failiings. what a sad swine of a specimen Partridge is..

Take how Darren felt. Multiply it dozens of times and you have a tiny fraction of how Darren's numerous girlfriends felt when he betrayed every last one of them.

Oh yes I totally agree and never liked the man.... but hes trying to reform and John put the spoke in the wheel for him making out he cared when all hes really did is harm a weak man into going back on his drink or drugs .

Darren may be insincere as a person but John's version was harmful to another person, there's a difference. I thought I was a John fan until watching last nights show (now) and I am very disappointed. He raised Darren up with his pep talk and offer of friendship and then shot him down by nominating him. Even if Darren is using unhealthy mechanisms to cope, surely John must realise that his vote of non-confidence could only bring Darren down further and add to his anxiety. I hope I am wrong but I do not buy the caring friend act, as it stands at the moment IMO that was a callous and calculated acted.

Darren comes across as marginally more likeable tho. To me anyway.
There is something hard and cynical and calculating about John that's just not pleasant to watch . He actually looks insincere if that's possible.

Im surprised more isnt being said about John against Darren last night as he was definintely determined to take the man down.. and did it without a trace of emotion.. he did however seem a bit shaky talking when Darren went to talk to him later...... Darren said he wasnt angry but the man was fuming and rightly so... he took him down badly on the show making him appear to have slipped in many ways back to his old ways.... John your out of order.

When he's being a caring decent human being, he's acting.
When he's being a devious, sneaky, back-stabbing, puffed-up arrogant pig, he's being himself.

And he has sly eyes.

The sneak practically made out to Darren he should be thankful to him for putting him up for eviction. I think Darren's buying all his BS too!
