How To Train A Woman Like Tiffany (In Less Than 24 Hours)
Desy Boy
14-01-2016
This is the reason why I love BB. At its best it is a wonderful microcosm of life itself.

Tiffany's treatment is almost a blueprint of how a person sharing Tiffany's identity could be made submissive and weak and it only took a day. What a process.

First, capitalise on any emotion shown by the subject, even where justified (such as believing that a fellow flatmate had just died, and then believing that someone had made it up), and use that to demonstrate that they are unstable, possibly violent and aggressive.

Second gather the troops and claim fear of imminent attack by the subject. They don't feel safe apparently. Say that they cannot be reasoned with and must be eliminated.

Thirdly isolate and 'ghetto-ize' the subject. Put forward your strongest member to police and issue orders to the subject and 'protect' the 'weaker' members of the group.

Fourth insinuate that the subject has possible mental health issues and that any action recommended is 'for their own good'.

Fifth, refuse the subject's attempts to undertake conciliatory action on an equal footing.

Sixth, if the subject begins to show obedience do not immediately reward them. Make them fully summit to your will, demands and expectancies. Make them beg and plead to serve you and rejoin the group.

Finally, undertake phoney, misinformed psychoanalysis of the subject which makes them internalize their 'faults' and has them recognize that they are indeed a broken and lower status being who intrinsically requires the support, patronage and control of others.

And then, they are docile and yours forever.

John Partridge is a genius who has expedited this process into less than 24 hours. Give that man a plantation!

She never bought any of his nonsense. She played him by just agreeing with everything. She will never change. Inside she was laughing at how pathetic he is.

Lol what happened to the other thread?

I wouldn't say that JP's actions/behaviour comes from a racist place, I think he is very alpha tho and that could come across as controlling (unlike many on here I don't feel he is an intrinsically bad person).

I do concede that there appears to be a disturbing trend where black females are not afforded the privilege of being pissed at something or be angry without being told they are being aggressive and/or have a chip on their shoulder. Caucasian women are able to do this and even win as a result; see Helen - Tiffany who isn't half as aggressive has no chance of winning.

Hang on have I slipped through a time portal? I could have sworn we had at least 4 pages on this yesterday?

I'm sure I read a longer version of this last night, what's the goss??

Anyway, although I have seen stuff like this happen, on this occasion I think you are wrong. I find it extremely difficult to fathom why there was much talk of aggressive behaviour from Tiff and that some of the HM's were scared of her, just by going on what was shown. Maybe Tiff launched herself at someone which BB do not want us to see as they want to try and maximise her stay in the house? It's all about ratings and making as much money as possible, after all.

I also think you're giving John far too much credit in his influence over others and Tiff not enough credit but time will tell. I think it's just a simple case of game playing on both sides.

Great post

...though I much preferred the "**** you I'm not walking" Tiffany to the one they've now got cowering in the corner. I'm hoping she makes a come back soon

Share tifanys identity? American?

I agree Americans get s hard time on UK shows, unless they know how to behave appropriately.

Tiffany made one mistake and she is never going to be allowed to forget it.

I understand there is a conflict between freedom of speech and forum terms and conditions, but I wish the moderators would look at the context and content of threads and not just the title when making the decision to delete them.

In my opinion, this is the OP of the series so far. Yes Tiffany should have backed down and realised that Angie had just had a massive shock and would understandably not have been communicating clearly, but Tiffany had also just received the shock of her life.

The housemates' reactions, orchestrated by John, with Kristina (who seems to have a visceral dislike of Tiffany) and Daniella quickly jumping on board when they saw where the vibe was heading, followed exactly the progression you describe.

Gemma teaching Tiffany how to be the most humble servant, and Tiffany submissively attempting to be but not even being allowed to be that, was difficult to watch. Gemma is not the brightest button and just follows the mood of the house, but there is something seriously twisted about John with his bullying, sanctimonious ways and his self-appointment as house puppet-master (the puppet task could be seen as a metaphor for that), all expressed through that seriously spiteful sneer.

Not excusing his actions but I know that having to cope with having a loved-one with a dreadful disease can mess some people up in a major way and make them very cynical about life. I can't imagine putting yourself forward for an extreme pressure-cooker situation like BB helps, so maybe that goes some way to explaining his behaviour and attitude.

I agree with your 'OP post of the series'. I would add your post as another one, most particularly relating to the BIBs above. And the fact you're still able to be objective and thoughtful about John.

Where did the other thread go? I was finding that a very good read with lots of very interesting observations and comments.

I would like to think that they actually read the contents of a thread first before deciding on what they contain.
In my opinion it was one of the most interesting and intelligent threads this series so far. Probably the best thread I'd found myself reading this series.
They could have just amended the title if they didn't like it without just throwing all the posts in the bin.

FWIW I've taken an archive of most of the original thread from the Google cache. Some interesting posts on there. Not sure if there's an easy way of making it accessible.

Was the original thread deleted? That was an odd one to go for.
