To be honest, everyone bar him and Tiffany have annoyed me, so no surprise at all. I think he has the default backing to be fair!

So far, we have gone through 4 favourites... John, Scotty and Gemma. Now Darren. John has fallen off a cliff since Monday!

Bet 365:
Darren- 9/4
Gemma- 7/2
Scotty- 7/2
David- 8/1
Tiffany- 9/1
Daniella- 18/1
Christopher- 25/1
John- 25/1
Jeremey- 33/1
Megan- 35/1
Kristina- 60/1
Nancy, Stephanie and Angie- 100/1

Skybet:

Darren- 2/1
Gemma- 10/3
Scotty- 4/1
Tiffany- 9/1
David- 10/1
Daniella- 20/1
John- 22/1
Christopher- 28/1
Jeremy- 33/1
Megan- 40/1
Kristina- 50/1
Nancy- 80/1
Stephanie and Angie- 100/1

Not too surprising as he has that 'every man' appeal to him. People will gravitate towards him when they get disenchanted by the more extreme housemates.
He's also got the potential 'journey' that's just waiting to break out. John set the scene for that nicely with that nomination.

I'm glad things are getting competitive now. Last CBB was so goddamn boring in the winner betting.

I'd like David to win, but we've not seen much of him so that's unlikely if things carry on the same....I'm just glad Gemma's popularity is starting to wane, she makes my teeth itch!

I want Tiff to win. If not Darren

I really think this is as open a CBB as anytime in recent years

Just can't see Darren day winning he is ok but he is just there

I wouldn't be surprised if Darren wins...

He has universal appeal.

As other posters have said he has a well documented past.
Men like Darren cos he's a real bloke.
Women love Darren cos they love someone who's survived & came out the other side half decent.

Just means there is more money going in on Darren, he may have looked good to punters at 4/1.

He seems a nice fella now he is off the drink and drugs but he aint half boring. He is holding back far too much. Especially with john. He should have torn strips off him but he was too frightened of losing his rag. Shame.

Good, he took some flack from John last night, unnecessarily

Last CBB? I didn't think James was favourite until the final week? Pretty sure we had Bobby, Janice, Natasha, Gail and even Scoop as favourites at one point? It wasn't until the last 10 ish days where James was a strong favourite.

If Gemma wins it will be as depressing as when Joe Swash won I'm a Celeb.

A lot of people will have sympathised with him after John's nomination yesterday. Bookies have obviously picked up on that.

He spent the first week building up to being favourite, then was the favourite for the rest of the series while everyone else removed themselves from contention.

For me the competitiveness had gone by the halfway point.

+1

Often I disagree with the popular consensus on matters of BB, but this is another level!

How in Gods name can this non-entity, devoid of talent, devoid of personality be so popular? I just can't spot a redeeming feature.

My favourites are David, Darren and Tiffany, so a DD win is probably the best I can hope for.
Anyone other than GC or Scotty T please.

I think Christopher is a great value bet. A dark horse.

I do too. He was something like 10/1 I think a tenner on him might be in order

Edit....Just checked. He's actually 28/1 I'm definitely placing a wee bet on him
