Hold on a min, I don't like people being called on their looks either, but didn't Gemma call Tiffany fat ? Yet no-one seems to be addressing that, apparently the forum and Tiffany can't call Gemma names, but she doesn't seem to be getting any flack for doing the same thing ?

Are you feeding the children in Africa?

If not, no real reason to make this comment. Despite if Gemma is greedy with the food she buys in the supermarket or not, it won't make a difference to those kids.

Why mention Africa Are they more important than the many starving children in this country

But would't it be okay to insult gingers, then? I mean, they can dye their hair. How about people with big noses. Why not get some rhinoplasty so we don't have to suffer looking at them? Or do you just draw the line at fat people?”

did you not read what I said? I specifically mentioned noses as being a genetic trait nobody can help

I wouldn't insult gingers because hair colour is beyond their control.

I draw the line at fat people because it's a self-inflicted lifestyle choice. Nobody has to be overweight, and certainly not obese. And please don't start on the 'it's genetic' garbage - that won't wash

People are so ignorant.

Obesity is not a lifestyle choice. It's a daily struggle. It's not that easy to lose weight if you are prone to weight gain. There also many many psychological reasons why people overeat.

It's an addiction in my opinion.

I dislike the gobby girl but bringing her weight into the equation is such a cheap shot. As for the comment about the starving in Africa comment

I know right, the starving children in Africa defence is one of the dumbest arguments one can use

perhaps if people didn't keep having children they can't feed....

How about ignorance, is that something someone can help?

Hair dye. Rhinoplasty. Both within control.

nobody's born obese. Nobody has to overeat. Nobody has to eat junk

The whole 'prone to weight gain' argument is an excuse

Sorry, I thought it was rhetorical,

If they're disabled and proven unable to work, of course. Why wouldn't they?

it's not her size that is the problem
its that monotone voice of hers,
her sentences when she strings one together consisti of no more than one syllable
embarrassing

and boasting that she's had her bits put back so they're brand new
no hope for her
on National TV ?
do we really need to know that ?
had she been round the block that many times to need to be sewn up again ?

she does spend enough time lying down after all

if you have to resort to the notoriously unreliable wikipedia for evidence then you've automatically lost the argument

you still fail to grasp the distinction between traits one is born with that are genetic such as skin/hair colour, facial features, a physical disability etc, which it's wrong to use as the basis for an insult, and an affliction that someone chooses to inflict on themselves.

maybe ignorance really is genetic....

To be honest, Wikipedia isn't as bad as people expect. Just look at the references on the page you are on to see if it's backed up by research.

I don't believe it's an addiction. If it was the fat people would have other addictions too...I've never seen a fat crack addict for example.

Psychological comforting eating maybe, I've heard this a lot from some of the whales I've harpooned during pillow talk, but even that sounds like a get out for being greedy.

I would buy everyone a drink on here if I see Gemma walking down the exit stairs on the next eviction night. Fat, skinny, purple with yellow spots, black white, mixed... whatever she is, I just dont like her personality. Its really horrid

Sadly seeing Gemma evicted next will not happen

on a controversial or contentious subject, a wiki article is only as good as the last person who edited it

an article on a factual subject is more reliable

I really doubt it is, but I guess you'd know, being the genetics expert.

Personally, I can't believe that anyone would be so ignorant to think that people would "inflict" themselves with obesity. I'd class it as the same as people who don't think that homosexuality is genetic. As if anyone would want to struggle with the hatred and spitefulness from others that brings, if they could easily avoid it.

p.s. Even Wikipedia has this real nifty thing that one can use, if they care to look beyond the ends of their own noses. They're called the references. You'll find all kinds of links to scientific studies, to other literature, etc. used in making the claims of the Wikipedia page.

Tiffany responded with "enduring?" " I am enduring"

night before she could be voted out she's all over Tiffany complimenting her

You can have one addiction without having others.
