Over the years people have upped the ante in terms of providing entertainment to the public.
Starting off from bb1 when someone had a problem they all sat down and talked calmy and discussed the situation about nasty Nick passing secret notes.
That episode had huge viewing figures.

This has now progressed to the public wanting shouting, screaming matches between people and it's classed as entertainment screaming hurling insults, damaging property etc

When the public get bored off this, how will the stars up the ante next to provide entertainment?
Do the public actually want stars to fight on tv as that's how it seems that they want blood.
Will Tiffany and Megan fighting be seen as entertainment? Will they be seen as ' keeping it real' because they sorted their differences by fighting and everyone else is fake because they don't have a fight.

Agreed, I suppose after celebrity fighting and celebs having sex they could have celebrity murder and the viewers can decide that the victim deserved it for being 'fake'

It's definitely entertaining. I don't think they need to up the ante. If there was a fight, both would get kicked out, so in the long term, it would be less entertaining.

We'll watch tonight to see what happens neXT. If hey were kicked out, it resets the story to zero.

I wouldn't mind a fight night 2, however, I don't want to see anyone actually get physically hurt. I'd much rather watch arguments than showmances or sex though.

Some arguments are inevitable but much rather they are organic rather than engineered. Personally I would much prefer to see HM's tested as a team in interesting and challenging tasks (mental and physical) and allow the social interactions run their course. BB seem to have lost the imaginative task teams of yesteryear so can now only offer friction as entertainment.

me too and hoped fro more from David..... I think hes a bit puzzled by whats going on... whats happening is BB have run out of good ideas for games... that puppet one was nonsense.. why cant they invent their own games instead of sitting outside with a fag.... they dont seem to have much imagination... nor do BB... come on big brother get some decent stuff on to give us a laugh and stop the tension as all you did with that question game was stir the pot for a fight...yes you know you did... and know you read digital...why not give the costumes to dress up like Robin Hood, Davey Crocket, Marie Antoinette, Che Gevara, and other people from history and they have to stay in character talking to each other....or the men being Teezy Weezy hairdressers and doing their own thing for the girls creating hairdos.. anything but this horrible fighting.

Watching two people fight isn't really my idea of entertainment. If it was I would watch wrestling or such like. How they reached the fisticuffs moment coudld be interesting but only if the dialogue is audible. Usually it is impossible to hear who is saying what to who.

Nick was thrown out for that but if it happened these days all that would happened is that BB would turn off the hot water for a few hours or ban Nick from the next set of noms

Even a nomination ban rarely happens.

People slag the show off for the way it is now, but the problem is more that society has changed. Yes there are problems with the format of the show and interference, tasks etc, however the arguments that we get these days and the type of housemates that we get are reflective of society...what I mean is, people like Charlotte Crosby, Scotty T, Sam Faiers etc are considered celebrities by today's culture. BB has had to move on with society and adapt or it wouldn't even be on tv today. BB1 etc would not work if they aired a series like that today. I preferred the show as it was in the old days, but like every other channel on tv, Channel 5 are chasing ratings and they are choosing housemates based on what is popular, and unfortunately shows like TOWIE, Geordie Shore etc are very popular.

Occasionally as a result of a second offence

but its trash tv for younger adults.. and this is turning into the same... since Jade Goody its thought that to be aggressive, drunk, rude and horrible is what we want...... I and some others want a good laugh and all I tuned in for with David... sadly hes not had a chance to shine.

I'd like to see more of housemates thinking the producers have left a dead body in the bedroom, still laughing at them lifting the covers and having a peak. LOL
