I hope he applies all this to Gemma.

If he can't see through Gemma he has no brains as well as no balls. I can't imagine anyone not seeing through her. Hopefully they're all just humouring her. Hopefully.

Yes, I'm hoping too as I like Darren - but he appeared to be a bit puppyish with her, drinking in her every word, without properly thinking about what SHE was doing.

We'll see.

I wouldn't underestimate Darren
I think he will air his views come nominations
but he'll be fair not bitchy but i think he struggles with seeing past those who are far more coniving and manipulative as he seems a deep thinker

I think the stronger characters see him as bit of a push over and use his better nature to their own end , but he was first to speak up against John when John was being all cryptic when 'trying' to explain that Tiffany got the wrong David that had died

I think Darren's concentrating on keeping his own troubles at bay, hope he sees that he too is a contender to win, and doesn't unknowingly do others dirty work for them

I think he's starting to question John's motives and behaviour in his own head
whether he'll act on it time will tell
I think he wants a quiet life in there though

I'm not so sure, I think that Darren will now know to not trust John, he will keep that close to his chest.

Isn't that the truth ! Many years ago when I was at school, we had one teacher that was always yelling at us, she got no respect at all. The Maths teacher never ever yelled, however, if she raised an eyebrow at you, everyone quaked in their boots !

Darren just needs to stay as he is. He's strong enough on his own. Battling those addictions he has been there done it. Doesn't need a pep talk from one who knows nothing.. And I don't mean Gemma..

Darren, and the very alive David are my two favourites. Both calm thinkers, not screaming morons without an ounce of self-awareness.

In my opinion, Darren is more aware of what's going on than he appears to be. When he jumped in on John's nomination he showed that he won't be falsely represented. He has probably had many many hours of therapy to help kick all his addictions, and will have got to know himself inside out. He knows when it's time to stand up and be counted, and when it's best to keep quiet. He also knows he's fragile and vulnerable, so won't be confrontational.....unless absolutely necessary. I like him very much, and think he's done a great job on himself. I really hope he can maintain it.

Agree with this. Darren has the look and attitude of a guy who has learned a lot of harsh lessons over the years and is a much nicer person for it.

I've always like David Gest. He's intelligent and doesn't take himself seriously.

He reminds me so much of Martin Kemp from 2012.

Darren seems one of the nicest people in that house! I am glad he does not jump on every argument! For what he has been through he seems the most grounded with Daniella and David not far behind! All the others are more interested in the fame

some of the older ones just need the money i think , and it's easy money, all they've got to do is not make an **** of themselves,

the younger ones don't have any self-control so they're doing a good job of showing themselves up , which make the older ones seem very sane and reasonable people !

and the older ones like Daniella , Darren and Kristina probably like working too, it's work to them - and being in the spotlight again to put right any negative press attention they've had

I've no idea what Nancy Del-usional is doing in there

I like Darren, and hope he retains his cool.

What a great encouraging and positive post. Yes, Darren has achieved. And can continue this on his own.

he does
i got a bit frustrated with him being so reasonable to John's pathetic excuse for nominating him though
but not much else he could have done as he has to live with the man
but hopefully Darren will nominate John very soon

You know, I don't think he will - nominate John. And nor should he. He sees him as his mate rightly or wrongly. But if I'm right. He won't.

depends on what John does
& how manipulative he gets and how genuine Darren sees that he is
John already told Darren he's going to play the game when they were in the Box at beginning, if Darren sees that he is and not playing fair, he will nominate him,not yet though

You might be right. But I reckon Darren would really struggle nominating John despite all that. And therefore, he isn't worth the effort. What will be will be I think is his philosophy. Might be wrong. Be interesting to see how it plays out..

he's just so slimey
I don't believe anything he says
He does seem very arrogant
and has a very strange sense of humour , if you can call it that

Yes, agreed. Sort of. There's wiggle room. Let's see how it pans out..

He strikes me as permanently dazed, I don't know whether his mind is addled through all the abuse he put it through but he's very muted and withdrawn
