Just how many times was this word used last night.

Only 30 years ago it was still something of a taboo to use that word on tv. Now it's commonplace. The c-word they say is still the biggest taboo these days - but we can all see it going the same way I'm afraid.

The problem we are approaching is having no words left when we want to be REALLY offensive.

S H one T used to be a strong word. Now its pretty normal
The F word went the same way and now the C word. Once that becomes normal what are we left with to create a moment?

"And finally dropping down one place this week, it's that most contentious of biological nouns... It's the C word!!! Which means we have a brand new number one, performing live, in the forum any moment now - after our final recap of 40 to 2...

...40 a surprise re-entry for school boy favourite... It's JISM!"

...and so on and so on... Ahh top of the pops parodies. I feel like Eddie Large.

The C word doesn't bother me one bit, but I don't know why I just assumed it was the one word that would never be allowed on TV. The first time I heard it on Big Brother was from Linda Nolan and I was like

That's my big beef about it, I wish people would stop taking our swear words into every day language. How the hell are people going to know when you're really angry if there are no real swear words left to use ?
