The WTA comp comes to an end with Janielovesyou, dean michael and dtcdtcdtc sharing the comp victory.

Great job as reaching the second week in this tournament was no mean feat
Well done dean and Janie and cheers Nathers

Yes, congratulations to dean, dtc and Janie in the WTA.

As for the Men's, with the picks available, I think it's spindiddly's to lose now!

All 4 through to the SF stage as Murray and Raonic went through.

Situation for SFs:

davethecue is forced to pick Murray.
MinkyJoe is forced to pick Djokovic.
Janielovesyou is forced to pick Federer.
spindiddly has Djokovic and Murray to choose from.

Should be interesting.

Semi-Finals are being played over two days - are we treating it as one day as far as the competition is concerned? Makes sense otherwise it would have been impossible for anyone to have a pick available in the Final.

ATP: Novak Djokovic
Back-up: No back-up available

Thanks

As a matter of interest the rules don't cover it but I do recall in a previous competition planning the picks with semi finals spread over two days and there have been eliminations because of no picks available?

I can totally understand you may need to make provision in the rules In these circumstances.

I don't remember this. SFs have always counted as one day as far as I'm concerned even if they're played across two. As MinkyJoe points out, it would be impossible to provide a pick for the final if you had to pick from both semis.

Sorry let me just say I agree whole heartedly - just that the rules don't mention it that's all.

Janielovesyou Goffin Lopez Herbert Troicki Nishikori Raonic Berdych Ferrer Djokovic Murray Federer
Novak Djokovic def. Roger Federer 6-1 6-2 3-6 6-3 (Janielovesyou)

Janielovesyou drops out at the SF stage after Novak's supreme performance against Federer.

Down to 3.

spindiddly is guaranteed to at least share the victory regardless of the result but if Novak defeats Andy then spindiddly wins the comp outright. MinkyJoe and davethecue will be hoping it's five time's a charm for Murray on Sunday

Yea, I forgot that AO splits the SFs for the ATP (Pretty sure it only happens here). Apologies if anyone was confused.
