David Guest is a huge signing.

For all the jokes about his only knowing dead people, he was, via Liza Minelli, Showbiz Royalty and knows (and therefore could talk about) some really significant names like Michael Jackson, Elisabeth Taylor and countless others.

Plus, as proved from his stint on I'm A Celeb, he is, when he wants to be, a genuinely hysterically funny and entertaining man.

I like Daniella, i always have done from when she was a teenager on EE, but at the end of the day, her stories can only revolve around EE, dating Brian Harvey and the car crash her life became due to cocaine.

Not that i don't find that interesting, but it doesn't really compare to 'A List' Hollywood.

David seems like a nice enough guy but if (and it's a big if) these payment figures are correct, then that's a lot of money just for someone to keep name dropping and that, although comes across as 'nice', isn't particularly entertaining.

Not surprising to me at all. David is actually a celebrity. He's funny too although he hasn't been so much so far. He doesn't need BB to pay his bills. Daniella is famous for throwing her career down the toilet and is desperate for this job. Her career is now shows like this (if she's lucky enough to get on them) and telling the paps where she is to get her pics in the papers. She seems nice in the house to be fair but these two names are incomparable.

He proved himself to be very entertaining in the jungle. He just hasnt had the airtime due to his sickness and the fact alot of the other hm's are hogging the limelight with all their bitching ranting and histrionics

I'm always dumbfounded when I hear some of these astronomical appearance fees. They paid Katie Price £500,000 and a few funny stories about her transvestite ex-husband aside, she was a complete let down. Ulrika Johnson got £175,000 for what? Making coffee and acting superior? Daniella already a contender for most boring housemate this series and she gets £250,000. What? Did they expect her to be the Pete Burns of this series? David isn't worth £500,000 but at least he is entertaining. It's their money I suppose but wow.
