CDs track names
Ok guess CDS might be slightly old hat these days but some of them are encoded with track names but most seem not to be. Surely they could all put some effort in and name them.
Moan over. |

Only started happening further down the lifespan of the compact disc. Surely that's what the booklet and rear inlay is for? To tell you... If you rip them on a PC there is usually an option to link to an online database which will provide those details.
I could see how it might be a problem for people who put their discs in those big wallets and store the jewel cases away. Even then a smartphone listening app should ID a majority or a web search of the album title will bring the track listing. |

I'm with the OP on this.
My CD player has the capability to display CD text but the vast majority of CDs I buy do not have text encoded. It's not a huge issue but I would prefer to see the track name on my CD player display rather than track numbers. |

Yeah mine is in the car. It's nicer to see artist and song name on my screen rather than just saying TR1,2 etc.
