Hi,
I don't know if this is the right place to put this - feel free to move if required.
Basically put, ever since about Christmas time, the battery life of my Samsung Galaxy S4 seems to have gone down the pan a bit. In particular, this Monday, I was down from a full charge to just 30% by about 4pm, and I hadn't even used the phone that much that day.
I had a look on the list of apps that was using the battery and it reported that Google Play Services (sometimes Google Services instead, but I think they're the same thing) was using over 30% of my battery; in fact it was using more battery than the screen! This isn't good, considering that before Christmas, it was ok.
It is still the original battery in my S4 (still works fine, used to work fine) and I haven't changed my Sync or Location settings.
Is there anything I can do to sort out this Google Services thing? I don't want to have to factory reset the phone, but if it will solve the Google Services thing, then so be it...
P.S. I am running Android Jellybean 4.2; I don't want to upgrade to Kitkat or Lollipop because I haven't got any issues with Jellybean and have heard that later OS'es might use more processor/make the phone laggy/slower, or use more battery.
Thanks for your help!
