yes I agree with you in principal and expect that may be the case, but treatment would be held until the doc had gone through the motions of contacting insurance company etc , and when time is of the essence ( feeling like sh** and dont know if you will be fit to fly home in couple of days ) they felt the right thing to do to expedite treatment was to go ahead and pay up front and claim back . Lets hope none of us has to use again to find out if you are correct.
