You better stop yer whining or I'll be forced to gaffer tape yer gob!
Can I get a cup of tea while I'm up here? I feel sure planets and Eddy would like one too. You may as well make money out of us while we are your prisoners

You must have missed reading.
I can't imagine what that must have been like. I don't watch much TV (only really watch something in particular which I want to watch), I much prefer to read a book.
I have and I’ve become very critical of badly written books because when I did read I could only do it slowly so all the flaws stood out. read a Lynda la Plante and a Kate Mosse and they were very disappointing. My daughters’ BFF published a book – Dancing in the Mists of Time – and that is a piece of delightful escapism.

Not sure if there's any particular genre you like Gemo but of the stuff i've read recently i would recommend:
Dissolution by CJ Sansom (and the rest of the Matthew Shardlake series)
The Watchers by Jon Steele
The Lost Army of the Cambysis by Paul Sussman
and a book i always recommend The Rebel Angels by my favourite author Robertson Davies.

They are all well written (especially the last) and books where you read two sentences and you are lost in that world!!!

*Slurps.*

Thank you and whatever you are having.

Yes, it's been a good day. No particular reason, just everything fell into place.

What shall we eat?

Ssshhhhhh, were watching Emmerdale and having our dinner.

*Calls out to local yoof.*

Close the Pub windows. We don't want to listen to his rantings. Just make sure he can't get out of the bin before closing time.

If you were thre real Sleeps, as opposed to some random ranting dodgy geezer, you would know that you can't sack Chin and you would be watching that awful cobbles show.

Now, shooooooosh.
