Well, I'm not sure what is going on here but I'm very sorry to see it.

Good night everyone.
Night Eddy. Very sad when people fall out. I agree with you.

Yes she was a legend. Also appeared in Last of the Summer Wine. RIP.
She certainly was, she had a good innings tho', 90 years old.
Good evening everyone.

A stella please.

Jean Alexander created a TV legend. Hilda is up there with all the other greats from Coronation Street's golden years.

RIP Jean and thank you.
Definitely, nowadays Coronation Street (like all the other soaps), have very little comedy moments (if at all). It's all doom & gloom & one of the reasons I stopped watching them. There's always someone getting murdered/topping themselves/just constant misery. I don't want or need that in my life.
Coronation Street years ago had many many comedic moments, & they had real characters like ''Hilda''.
Well, I'm not sure what is going on here but I'm very sorry to see it.

Good night everyone.
Me too.......one thing I've always prided the pub on was that there was never any bickering, nastiness, or egos, & that must be some kind of record given how long the pub has been going. I think it's the longest running thread on DS.

Let's keep it that way guys.

She's a joke & taking the place of a half decent singer.

Errrrrr no, but thanks for your concern.

I hope it all goes well.

She certainly is! I can't even bear to watch her!
I haven't watched it yet, I only ever watch it on catch-up. Only if I can be bothered.

Do you get Still Game on BBC1? You should watch that, you can get it on the I-player, I think you'd like it.
Victorian Slums is worth watching too, it's on Monday nights BBC2 at 9-00pm. It's certainly an eye opener of how people had to live.

Morning twass, it would certainly be an eye opener on how life was for a lot of people. People nowadays wouldn't be able to cope. We're all so spoiled.

*clunk clatter* Honey G isn't even a funny joke!

Ta muchly SR. The clip I saw was on Gogglebox and I was appalled this woman appeared to have got past the entry auditions I've seen more talent in an empty shoebox!

You just wonder why they even bother.......no-one sane is ever gonna buy a record she's made (if she was ever to do that). It just makes a mockery of the whole thing!

Good morning everyone.

Very wet here and apparently staying like this untl lunch. Quite mild at 12c.

Tea please with a full traditional breakfast. Remember to trim the fat off the bacon (something that you would not have to do if you bought it already done), eggs well done, brown bread for the toast. A portion of marmalade on the side.

PS - Sleeps, enjoy your grandson's christening.

It really does. An insult to people who actually have talent who got overlooked so the producers could add negative interest to the show

Morning Eddy!

It poured overnight here too, but a lovely golden morning and as you say, surprisingly mild......I am hoping mini t won't be frozen today and make me put the heating on....I loathe central heating! Once we had the fire going as well in the evening the cottage was roasting last night

Hi there twassington. Agreed, it really isn't anywhere near cold enough for the blooming central heating to go on.

Yup, you'd be mighty hacked off to be overlooked by eejits like Honey G & others.

*tuts* tell her to put an extra jumper on!

OK, I understand. Can you at least run out and pick up a few of the Sunday papers for your good customers (like me) to read on a complimentary basis?

2004? I'm very impressed.

She likes to sit there in a vest in the middle of winter being roasted by fires, heating, etc. I prefer to wear five layers and have none on whatsoever Otherwise we are quite similar!

I watch far too much telly! However those look inteesting so I will look out for them on the I-Player.
