Definitely, nowadays Coronation Street (like all the other soaps), have very little comedy moments (if at all). It's all doom & gloom & one of the reasons I stopped watching them. There's always someone getting murdered/topping themselves/just constant misery. I don't want or need that in my life.
Coronation Street years ago had many many comedic moments, & they had real characters like ''Hilda''.

Me too.......one thing I've always prided the pub on was that there was never any bickering, nastiness, or egos, & that must be some kind of record given how long the pub has been going. I think it's the longest running thread on DS.
Let's keep it that way guys.
