I predicted the result at 8.55 last night in print and much earlier verbally. Put £10 on at Coral for Trump to win. Would have got odds of 25:1 against earlier in the day , but down to 3:1 against when I put the bet on. Not happy with the result though.

TalkTalk has been down for hours last night and the other day . No doubt this is their new improved fast broadband service they are promoting heavily. The only reason I haven't switched to someone else is I can't afford to. Avoid like the plague.

You should have put it on earlier, at least you could have drowned your sorrows!

Oh dear, some of these companies really don't care, their customer service is non existent!

May is the Tin Lady. Scary indeed. Still, we'll just have to make the best of times. I do feel sorry for black, muslim and latino folks living in the US today though

Dreadful result but I won’t be here long. I have the worst cold EVER and being on Beta-Blockers means I cant take any medicine for it apart from paracetamol.

Oh dear! Thus far I have escaped mini twass's cold, I am sure due to the Golden Milk I take every night. I had no idea beta blockers meant you couldn't take cold rems. No one told us this when my OH had colds and was taking Propanolol

Good afternoon everyone.

Showery but sunny here, 7c.

How could US voters ignore the advice of Beyoncé, JayZ, Madonna, RuPaul, Kim Kardashian and all the Hollywood lovies? I am devastated.

A G&T, served quickly please.

Anything with preadoephedrine or phenylephrine (adrenalin copiers) is out, ibupropane is out and so is aspirin. I’m on Atenolol.

Some good news. The turquoise bath towel that went missing has turned up – Iwas getting my daughter’s bedroom ready for her stay this weekend and it was there. It had a light towel folded round it so that’s why I missed it when I checked before.

Possibly due to large numbers of them being intellectually challenged

Well, it's useful to know Gemo. He used to neck cold remedies when poorly. And took Ibuprofen. No one told him or me!! Too late now of course.

Things usually do turn up in the end, often in the oddest places!! Mini twass found a missing earring of mine over the weekend, embedded in the carpet

I have a pair of earrings missing which Mr G got me quite a few years go. He got them as an unbirthday present when I was ill to cheer me up and I don’t know what happened to them… and my daughter has just mentioned a scarf she wants to borrow and that’s not where I thought it was.

I wonder if I got someone to tip off the police that there was something norty in the house they would do a raid and I could find all the things that had gone missing.

But you'd have them tromping around the whole house with their size 12s, probably all muddy! They'd frighten the cats!! Bit of an extreme way to find things

Hi there.

I managed to get wet at the bus stop this morning. My very large umbrella did it's best but it was no compensation for not being able to get under the tiny bus shelter.

Mead? More weirdness.

Mead is for magical types I've just been sent a large consignment by a friend in Scotland. She used to frequent this thread as it happens
