I got Willow into her new harness with no problem maybe because I did it at walkie time and I had a plan (over head to middle and pop arms through on one move) but Mr G took charge of her one her walk and released he and said she was out of the harness as soon as it was released in an instant so I’m not sure how secure it is. Willow escaping wouldn’t be much of an issue because she darts for the house as soon as she is worried but Shadow wants to explore and meet everything dogs included. SO Operation Harness swapover is still under review.

The concept of cats in harnesses is still a very odd one to me, although I know users like them to prevent cats escaping near busy roads etc. I think some breeds take to them more than others. My Rosie Bagpuss would have ripped my face off had I dared approach her with a harness in her young days! She was a right little madam

Electra has just shown how patient a cat can be. She had to have her stitches out after having a tumour removed from her leg. I lifted her to “standing” so the vet could get at her leg and she just stayed there purring while the vet removed her eight stitches.
