Good evening.

Who keeps lowering the heating? I'm freezing. I actually saw some sleet stuff earlier on.

I can't watch Emmerdale properly if the snug isn't hot enough.

*turns up Pub heating and grabs remotes.*

Stella please and some prawn cocktail crisps. Thank you.

*prepares hefty bill for Eddy the Crook*
*slurps*

Thank you and whatever you're having.

We should enjoy Emmerdale in peace tonight as that lazy trouble making Sleeps has run off to see a film. Oh, and SR is already in a gin induced coma, poor woman.

Jolly good Eddy old bean and thank you. That Sr is indeed in a sorry state.

You're gonna be in a sorry state when I get my hands round your throat!
She is indeed. Poor, poor SR. I'm going to stick some chips in her ears and nostrils. The humiliation being part of her on going therapy. It might encourage her to do something about the gin.
Clearly the heat (which you expect me to fund), has melted yer brain!
What a great idea! You have my full approval!

Is that right...........
Good evening.

Had a fun weekend with a visit from my daughter and her husband.

… and I sent my mother a gift for Mothering Monday (the Jasper crisis made me late with things) and she rang up to say how much she liked it.
Good grief! That must be a 1st!

Morning twass, it isn't that cold here this morning, no sign of any frost. Still a wee bit of snow lying on the ground.

It's more convoluted than a Machiavellian plot! And there is a lot more going on than just the in/out stuff.

Yes, I agree. I'm quite shocked that the refugee issue has some how become tangled up with the referendum debate. It has little to do with it.

Not sure how I will vote.

It's really not an easy decision especially given how politicians seem to be spinning the whole thing around their own agendas currently

Double brandy please

Hit and run driver ran over a neighbour's puppy this morning, I heard it happen from the back door....ran there as he breathed his last Poor wee soul. He can't have suffered, it was so quick and when I lifted him onto the grass from the road I could see his little neck was broken. People drive too fast down country lanes!!

The poor thing.

I think that we are far too lenient when dealing with careless and irresponsible drivers. The penalties imposed need to be a lot harsher and a lot more motoring 'offences' need to be criminalised.

I think it may be illegal not to confess to having run down and killed a dog. To drive off not even stopping long enough to check!!! And in an isolated spot, where if I hadn't heard it happen, and had the dog been only slightly hurt, he could have lain there alone for ages As it was he passed very quickly and probably knew little about it all. I didn't see the car, only heard the accident

*helps self to brandy*

Pretty sure it is. I seem to remember their being a petition for the same rule to apply to cats.

Kittens have had the sniffles and been out of sorts. Willow got eye drops last week and they have an anti-bactericide. Shadow has now gone back to wanting to climb trees this morning. Willow is a bit subdued but has wanted to sit on me all day and in my experience an ill cat hides away and doesn’t want to have any attention. Rading up I think they have a virus that is best to run its course rather than being medicated. Their immune system will be strengthened for next time they encounter it. Of course, if there is a sharp turn for the worse the vet is 50 yards away.

Maybe the kittens are still sad from the loss of their elder statesmancat? No medication is always the best bet unless really necessary.

The same rule SHOULD apply to cats. My neighbour drove off to look for a car with a dent/blood on it in the nearby village but unsurprisingly came back having drawn a blank. There is no more we can do

If it was more of a palaver to take them to the vets I would probably act sooner rather than later but where we are now means I can get almost instant treatment if an emergency should arise.

The cats are functioning perfectly apart from mini sneezes and being a bit down. Shadow is just about back to himself.

This was the petition.

They don't make it easy to make an informed decision do they? It's all spin & trying to instil the fear factor if you decide to vote no. They did exactly the same in the run up to the Scottish referendum, even blatantly lying through their teeth about what would happen should people vote yes. 6 months or so after the result, all these things they scared some people about actually happened, & that was after these people voted no!

We all know what Camoron & his cronies think about refugees!

Double brandy please

Oh that's horrible! Poor wee man, I really hope he didn't suffer.

Yes it is, you need to, by law, report it to the police within 24 hours.
What a heartless bastard whoever was driving the car! I hope he/she is caught!
