We’re talking my daughter on a round trip which will include Ikea, Dobbies and Hobbycraft. (They don’t have a car).

I survived my being home alone apart from my mushrooms going moldy.

Did you have a mushroom growing kit Gemo? I had one a couple of years ago and that went mouldy too!

No it was some chestnut mushrooms in the fridge. I like evil buttery mushroom sandwiches but they’re so rich I save them for a treat and I was making one for my last lunch alone and when i got my mushrooms ready to put them in the frying pan they were moldy.

I stuck a egg in the melted butter and finished soaking it up by frying a slice of bread in it. Not the same as a shroom sarnie though.

I've never had a shroom sarnie, but shrooms fried in butter piled on hot toast are lush

Very similar probably but toast can aggrevate my throat and make me cough so I have my bread raw.

The radio was left on and it was Steve Allen's (LBC's) voice I think. Switched over to 5 Live. Morning Sr.

You can pic up LBC in Scotland on DAB, t'interweb and Freeview I believe.

Let's just say his early morning breakfast show has a 'unique' style.

His programme finished at 6.30, so you missed it this morning. Worth a listen for five minutes!

Why would I want to listen to an Englisher, and anything to do with the Beeb I refuse to have any dealings with! I'll stick to my own local radio thank you very much!

It's a UK commercial radio station, nothing to do with the Beeb. If you'd clicked on the link there's Scottish content including an Alex Salmond clip.
