Anyone read Engines of War?

Just wondering what people think, I thought it captured the War Doctor perfectly and led seamlessly into what we saw of him in Day of the Doctor, also the harking back to the Five Doctors etc fitted in so well.

I have meaning to read it, I love reading or listening to stories with Doctors we didn't see used to their full potential (i.e. Colin Baker and Paul McGann) and I absolutely loved John Hurt's Doctor (he outdid Tennant and Smith in Day of the Doctor) so the idea of a full novel featuring him sounds like a great idea to me. It'd certainly be intruiging to see more about the Time War, as it's not really mysterious anymore so much as an empty gap begging for exploration.

I really enjoyed it; insane Dalek schemes, Rassilon at his maddest, one or two loose ends tied up from the Five Doctors, the Doctor ending up with a Time .war survivor from a Dalek-occupied planet tagging along with him and the end slotting Into Day of the Doctor. Definitely worth a read.

I read it last Summer, and I can honestly say it's one of the best DW books ever! I enjoyed reading it from beginning to end.

I've got both the hardback and the paperback version, and am really tempted to get the audiobook edition. I'm still not sure, though.
