Hi people it's 2016 I was just wondering what physical film format do people in uk like buying and what do you think is the best one to have is it DVDs or blu Rays. I will be very grateful for your answers thanks.

If you base it purely on sales stats then DVD is still top of the heap. The tide is turning though. Physical media is in decline as people can now stream anything to a tablet or smart device.

For quality though Blu-ray is where it's at, though it's nowhere near as popular.

Just wondering, is this for course work or market research?

DVDs/Blu-Ray + CDs here. Mine for keeps then plus need spaces to fill.

Currently buy Blu-ray only (subject to availability), although I own more DVDs. Remember that I used to buy DVDs quite regularly but most of them got very little use after the first viewing, so I'm a lot more selective nowadays when buying Blu-rays. Have bought some of my favourite films on Blu-ray which I already owned DVD and I may end up buying another version on Ultra HD Blu-ray in the near future.

If a movie is not available on Blu Ray just DVD, then DVD. If it is then Blu Ray.
