David Guest was BB's star turn - their trump card this year - it's all getting a bit shambolic isn't it? One of the worst CBB's (if not the worst) I can remember.

With David gone I think they should just cancel the rest of the show and cut their losses.

I am not sure people will get their money back as he started the competition .

I think he said A Nightmare on Elm Street 4, which struck me as strange because that came out in 1988.

Aww, I was just hoping like we all were, that he might recover enough to feel able to cope with it all. David was my favourite too - funny, amiable and able to diffuse the most vicious of flare ups and still keep calm and dignified. He needs every ounce of that energy now to get better. I'm sure he's frustrated too. Thanks David.

Outwith the health issues he wasn't featuring much in the show, perhaps he was encouraged to quit.

Loading with 16 people was the right decision then

I think you're spot on with this. There was something a bit fish out of water about him from the beginning. He gave it his best shot but his gentle, whimsical brand of quirk was never going to thrive or really be appreciated in that house.

It's a shame but for the best imo, for him.

Hope it's not too serious. He was a winner for me. Thoroughly nice guy IMO.

Best thing for him tbh. Hope he getd well soon.

As a person, I liked him but he was abit dull even when he wasnt isolated.

I had a bet on Lady C refunded when she left the jungle, which I then put on David....I must be the kiss of death!

A shame but probably predictable given his contribution over the past few days. A further dilution of intellect in the house.

We are now in negative equity

Such a shame but that just wasn't a good environment for him , must have been a nightmare compounded by the fact he was ill. X

Just unlucky Debs. I did think the side of his face looked quite raw when he ventured out mid-week and shingles went through my mind - not diagnosing, promise! On the other hand, he may just have cut himself shaving!

I agree. There goes the intelligence, the wit, the character, and the downright niceness. Despite minimal air time, he's still the only one who has made me smile, never mind laugh. Get well soon, David!

What a shame. I liked david and his sense of humour although it did seem to go over the heads of some of the dimwits in there. Not surprised he left as he had a terrible cough the other day....a chest infection type cough, not a little ' I've got a cold' type cough.

I'm glad he's gone, purely for his own sake. He is much too gentle to be in with those barracudas. I was moved to tears when he said to Gobby Gemma in the garden, "No more today please?" with such a sad look.

Get well soon.

I expect he hung around long enough so his agent had time to negotiate a full payment for him. All those tough nights and days in his personal bedroom. What a trooper.

I think Angie might leave now, David was the only one who had any time for her.
