I have a problem with my Manhattan Plaza HDR-S, it won't come out of standby mode (red light), well it will if I fiddle with plugging in and out the power lead, eventually it does switch on (Blue light) and works ok until switched back into standby and I have to repeat the procedure.
I rarely use this box,( I use BT Youview box) but I have just changed TV to a new Panasonic 4k, is the box faulty? - not worth cost of repair I suspect unless simple fix - or is it my new TV?

It's worth a try, but have you done a factory reset? Sometimes that puts things right.

If you only rarely use it, are you sure its firmware is up to date?

I contacted Manhattan re doing a hard reset. they say that it isn't possible and they suspect the box is faulty. Factory reset doesn't correct the problem nor does loading new software. The problem is that to send it to Manhattan to fix might be more than the cost of a relpacement second hand box off EBay, So just asking if anyone else has a cheap fix?

There is a softwear update available, V1.5.3, on the Manhattan website, which they say fixes some switching problems with some 4K. TVs.
