Do Sky hire deaf people to edit their programs?

My box failed to record Quali so I have just watched their rerun. They cut people off mid sentence to take a advert, then just went 'Lets have a word with the Ferarri boss' and ended the program!

Checked the provisional schedule for Monaco GP Thursday practice and noticed something dodgy. First of all Thursday practice is being simulcasted on SS1, not dodgy because it's the end of the PL season so Sky filling up dead filter. (Expect a lot of this as there not a lot on on Sky over the summer)

Secondly GP2 practice/qualifying on Thursday is being simulcasted on SS1 which I think is the first time GP2 has been shown live on Sky Sports 1, clearly a ratings/filling schedule thing although I can hardly see that gaining viewers.

Thirdly is coverage of the second F1 practice, coverage is from 12:45pm-3:10pm which means 40 minutes of post-practice reaction, I know that removes the filter but I don't ever remember practice reaction being this long so Sky must have a lot to fill, are they sure the going to run out of stuff to do?

Perhaps it's instead of the normal second F1 show?

They have 2 shows as usual at Monaco on Thursday and Friday so nothing to do with that.

The only reason FP2 live from Monaco on Sky is longer is because GP2 qualifying follows straight after.

I think it was last year where one of the GP2 sessions was delayed because they hadn't got all of the equipment down so it just makes sense for Sky to stay on air a bit longer, leading into GP2.

What is Marc Priestley doing for Sky this weekend aside from one or two bits of analysis? He's wearing the merch, so he's there to do something for them. He's not wearing IEMs or anything, but he has a belt full of audio gear like Ted. Is he on pit lane reporting duty or something?

According to a Facebook Live video on the Sky Sports F1 FB page yesterday, he's the Sky F1 floor manager.

They've ditched the mess of a double grid walk then. Good.

If you look at the race thread here then they have an addiction of slamming Crofty and every time Sky mention Hamilton, I have never seen a site bash Sky so much and it's getting boring.

Even the Autosport Forums is not better with their love of slamming Sky and taking the p*s out of Crofty. Trust me, he isn't as bad as people think he is.

The secret to Raikkonen's success seems to be the soft 'T' tyres according to the FOM graphics.

Was watching Sky live but didn't hear entirely how Crofty called the crash as I was shouting myself!
Checked out C4 and it's a great bit of commentary from Ben Edwards and DC. It's these sort of moments that Ben Edwards seems to really come alive.

Was a bit surprised at how biased towards Hamilton DC was over the crash, for once Sky's Hamilton love-in was a bit more reserved at criticising Rosberg, while steering clear of blaming Lewis.

Nice bit of cynical strategy to gift Max the win from Red Bull to prove themselves right, although I'm a bit confused by Channel 4 criticising Ricciardo's slightly early 3-stop, given Vettel's even more suicidal 3rd stop just 2 laps after Raikkonen's 2nd.

Well the Sky team, AKA Hamilton fan boys, totally blamed Rosberg for not getting out of the way and giving up the lead. I saw it like Niki Lauda, it was totally Hamilton's fault being too aggressive. He saw the Red mist, just like Schumacher at Silverstone when he lost the lead at the start to Massa and then overcooked it and went off.

The accident was pretty similar to the crash in the GP2 race earlier today. Nico was way too brutal with his defending.

God knows what time Sky will stay on-air until today. Quite a lot to talk about!

I wish somebody would ask Christian Horner why they screwed over Ricciardo. There's no way Max was getting past him without help from the pitwall.

I think both hold some responsibility but ultimately I'd call it a racing incident & would personally not like to see any sort of penalty handed to either from stewards or team.

When Nico moved over the way he did Lewis should have realized he wasn't going to be left room & backed out of it. Nico was aggressive & perhaps didn't leave as much room as he could have but I also think he was caught out with the closing speed.

With regards to Sky. Brundle felt it was more Nico's responsibility as did Anthony but Croft said he was a bit more the other way, Hill just called it a racing incident & didn't aim blame at either.

You couldn't by any chance miss tomorrow's race as well?

No, I watched it, so I guess I've broken the curse!

Anyone hear any extra team radio from Hamilton or Rosberg on the other feeds? After Vettel outburst in Russia I would have thought FOM would be listening for something after that crash.

Davidson's analysis on the Mercedes incident was genuinely illuminating, well done to him for that.
