Rain.

Multi-cam options now available on Eurosport Player.

The food is chat is making me hungry, thankfully it's lunchtime soon.
I see they have an onboard mix? And a "Pit lane" feed. I'm only looking at the latter, but it appears to be just a graphic-less version of their normal raw commentary-free feed.

I think FOM need to talk to the Monaco infrastructure people in order to work out how to get a strong signal from the onboards on these tight streets and tall buildings. Could the helicopter provide top cover?

Excellent stuff, thanks.

Eurosport 'onboard' seems frozen.

Crofty with the conspiracy theory out of the Sun's fault there for that crash. Alright mate.

Baku track is terrible. Bar the tight castle bit. It is a poor Singapore in parts. Marginally better than Valencia.

The only thing the Monaco TV crew handle is there own trackside cameras, The OnBoard systems as well as all the timing systems are setup & managed by FOM using FOM/TATA equipment.

Baku appears to be a great track, real challenge for the drivers.

I think Baku is the best new track we've had for some time. I agree that some of the layout isn't particularly inspiring, but I think we're set for a batshit crazy race tomorrow.

Agree with the posts about the cameras this weekend, seems FOM can't decide on the best camera angle in the castle area.
I've also noticed that they almost always cut away from the helicopter in the last 1/3 or so of the lap, is this likely to do with what Ted was saying on Friday about it being illegal to film the Presidential Palace?

Wow, so it was a dicky ticker then! Glad the bloke is okay!!!

Also, thought C4's quali coverage today was fantastic! After watching Sky for a few years, C4 was a breath of fresh air.
Little too many ads but, for it being FTA, ohwell!
Shame we won't have this in 3 years time, i can only hope in that time Sky sort their shit and give the viewer something decent to watch!!

Probably the only upside of losing Channel 4's coverage is that Sky should be able to assemble a dream-team made up from both sets of staff. Whether they will of course...

Is that No 84?

Listed under Innovative class
Remember the delta wing was classed like that.

The driver is a quad amputee, they were talking about it earlier.

I don't think they will. Purely from an ego POV
Sky have let alot of their coverage from multiple other sports go stale and done nothing in reply despite cries from viewers.
F1 will continue to go down hill on Sky to the point where i give up on the sport all together and i fear many more will too

The #84 is fitted with an ejector seat.

Are you referring to 'the sport' (motorsport) or the series (F1)?

I understand that by 2020 Sky will show F1 in glorious 8K VR, however apart from the world feed their coverage will entirely consist of Johnny Herbert standing in a corner of the Sky offices shouting at a bin.

I don't recall nearly as much aggro last time it clashed a few years or so ago. People have short memories.

Baku is visually quite dull - might be an interesting track to drive but watching another non-descript concrete tunnel straight bit is yawn-inducing. It looks nicer on the onboards, when they're not breaking up.

Interrupted by a VT of Martin Brundle driving something for 8 seconds.

F1 coverage depends entirely on which channel offers Bernie the most money. Viewer satisfaction is immaterial.
