Nope no race control for me all weekend either, strange! And as if by magic, 10 minutes later the home page refreshed and it's back.

Same here. Nothing but main feed on iPad. No sign of the menu to select the other feeds.

On the Formula 1 tab in the app, the race control watch link has been listed a long way down the page this weekend.
The top watch link all weekend has just been showing the sky sports f1 text commentary.
See they have put the watch - race control link at the top of the page in the last ten minutes.

Good race from Ben and DC, nice comment about the tyre strategy graphics representing a game of Connect 4.

Was surprised how long it took the Sky guys to clock Rosberg's slow stop. It was clearly displayed as a 12.0 second stop on the graphics so it was immediately obvious they held him longer than 5 seconds, even if you weren't counting along. At least Ant chipped in there to fill in the gap.

It was another fairly meh race, really. Some interesting scraps down the lower reaches of the field but too much "well that guy's on old softs and that guy's on new supersofts and that's a great pass in the DRS zone" unsurprising blandness.

The DRS was just about perfect in Hungary, but far too strong in this race. If they took it away we'd probably see a greater variance in strategies as people with older tyres would have a genuine chance of staying in front.

Toto Wolff - "Are you allowed to say s**t on TV".
Simon - "No"

Not the greatest race again. Shame as Hockenheim is often a good one.
Not a lot of interesting team radio today, but good to have it back.
Stopwatch problems. So much for all the Rolex advertising, tear it all down over Summer!. Bring back TAG Heuer

I must admit I laughed at that. It's like saying "can I ask a question?" when you've just done it. Still don't get them apologising yesterday though for Toto saying ballsy which isn't offensive or naughty in any way, shape or form.

It makes me laugh when they apologise for some "naughty" word, all that actually do is emphasise it more. Most of these words apologised for are heard frequently in any school playground or on any school bus

Horrible crash in the BTCC race 3. Rolling car has taken out a camera gantry.

Jeez, they even had the picture from the gantry of the car heading right for the cameraman. Apparently shaken but conscious.

Decided to take a monthly subscription to the F1 premium app services to hear the extra team radio. Shouldn't have bothered. There was none.

Cameraman is "conscious, shocked but OK" they're currently saying. Blimey that was a bad one, it knocked the whole scaffold over. Hope he really is OK.

They played in the footage from that camera, very very scary stuff.

No radio at all or nothing that wasn't on the world feed?

Supposedly the Radio on the App is a combination of the radio from the World Feed & the exclusive clips from the Pitlane channel. But if they're not really showing any exclusive clips on the Pitlane Channel anymore, then you've effectively got just what's on the World Feed broadcast. A total of 46 team radio clips were transmitted on the F1 App/Website for the race today.

Yes, looked at the f1 tab but couldn't see the race control link but never looked that far down as I didn't think it would be there but cheers for the info Lettice.

Just World feed radio. No Sky sub and not interested in grey means.

But they then played a pre-record with the word crap in it, so not entirely serious!

I wasn't talking about Grey means. And then yeah, the Team Radio on the F1 app contains only clips shown on the World Feed & The Pitlane channel. Nothing other than those.

But there were no Pitlane feed radio, every piece of radio that came up on the app was exactly timed with the tv coverage. No extra conversation or extended conversation unlike the app this time last year.

It has become ridiculous, fair enough when James Hunt says bullshit on BBC in the afternoon, but apologising for Daniel Ricciardo's fleeting finger gesture pre podium last week-end was beyond me. Even more so when we haven't noticed anything and have to take the time to replay it to find it.
Like I mentioned a few weeks back, still love Ted and his notebook but as others are now hinting he is becoming a touch wild eyed boy from freecloud. H-u-n-g-a-r-o-r-I-n-g, H-u-n-g-a-r-o-r-I-n-g.... what ?
Needs the break.

Sky's apologies have become truly infantile but then again, they always have been!
You don't watch boxing to see people being nice and sweet to eachother, you expect a bloody good fight, yet, Sky still say 'sorry' when a cornerman swears, thats when Sky actually show the between rounds bits but still, its pathetic!
Saying sorry for Gerhard Burger was justified, when he said he was told he couldn't say f*** or shit, i laughed my head off because it was funny but that is fair enough for the rules as they are.
Someone saying crap or the Lewis finger last week.... no!
