Just to answer a couple of your points (welcome by the way

)
If you mean during the race itself, then no, they don't always have live linkups with people on the pitwall, although C4 also do the same with some of their live races so it's not just Sky (can't speak for other countries and if they ever do anything similar of their own accord). Obviously teams have to agree to it though, and realistically they're only going to ask the big teams who are likely to be fighting for wins/podiums/big points, because with the greatest of respect, I doubt there'd be much to hear from Manor for example as their races are generally spent battling each other and avoiding being lapped (same to a lesser extent with Sauber).
Re Abu Dhabi, yeah they've called it the duel in the desert.
I also agree about Sky's coverage, it's not the best and it'll likely get worse in 2019 when they have full live exclusive coverage as they'll have nobody to, in effect, challenge them to improve. Main thing I hate is they do 'coming up' and show part of a feature numerous times (but different parts of it) then when they come to show the feature it's already had 75% of it shown in their 'preview', and the features are short anyway. Plus clearly yesterday with Brundle and Ecclestone they've only made it last Brazil and Abu Dhabi in the hope people will tune in in Abu Dhabi, when really it should have all been shown in Brazil.
