There's 2 sides to the story and I thought Hill seemed the most balanced, but the others were quite down on Nico. If Nico didn't have the same desire to go again after already winning the title, makes sense for him to let someone else have a go who may actually genuinely be quicker than Hamilton.

There's also the Sky review show available which I think is one of their best productions I've seen this year. Multiple good pundits from different backgrounds offering different takes on the season.

Damon Hill towards the end of his career, didn't want to do it anymore, so must know how Rosberg is feeling.
So no surprise that Damon is the most balanced.

I thought Nico was close to pissed off a couple of times at some of Ted's questions in particular.

I wonder if that's because he sees him as an obnoxious, self-aggrandising public school tosser who is so full of himself that it pains others to be in his company.

Which, Nico Erik Rosberg or Theodore Joseph Nathaniel Slotover (Ted's real name, although to be fair, Kravitz is his mother's maiden name)?

For once I agree with FlimFlam. The International School of Nice isn't exactly state...

We know Nico is all those things but what is Ted?

Actually I was refering more to Ted tbh, who was also privately educated (at a fee-paying Boys' school).

I love the instructions that Force India have sent Renault about taking care of their new Nico...

BBC reporting that Bottas is the most likely to replace Rosberg as he is the first choice of Mercedes. They also say that Paddy Lowe will be leaving Mercedes and joining Williams with James Allison coming in alongside Toto Wolff.

Amazing how things change so quickly. I'll be pleased for Bottas if he gets it. My choice would have been Perez, but I think that would probably have been too difficult because of the sponsor requirements on both sides.

Speaking of Williams, here's a documentary I hadn't seen before about their preparation for the 1993 season: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQIPaa7KDTs

I just love how raw and free of PR that documentary is. A bygone age depicted there in many respects, made me very nostalgic! Think I need a cup of tea...

Bottas to Mercedes from Williams. Toto Wolff previous Williams shareholder... Or am I being naughty?

To avoid an obvious conflict of interest, Niki (or someone other than Toto) would be doing the hiring.

I just skimmed through that but it was incredible - and a real who's who of famous engineers/drivers/personalities in that. They get so close to the real action, which sadly would never be allowed today.

Easy to write that down on a press release or say in an interview.

Toto Wolff is Bottas' manager.

Paddy Lowe to Williams is an interesting one! Power struggle at the top of Merc and he lost or just wants a new adventure?
Bottas would be a great call! That man has talent and a decent car under him would make a strong challenge to Lewis, dare i say a better one than Nico gave!!

Did he spend his early days at Williams with Brawn and Newey? Probably wants to help them get back on top.

Williams have rejected Toto's initial offer.

They're either playing hard to get or they don't want to lose someone as talented as Bottas...

It'll be interesting to see how this affects Lewis, as Paddy was supposedly the main element that stopped Lewis resigning for good in Spain. Apparently though Paddy is the one of the main reasons for Mercedes' success so I hope he can bring some improvements to Williams.

They don't want to lose Bottas as they have no one to develop the new car. The odds are if Bottas goes, then they will have Wehrlein as the second driver and he only has one years experience(although he has a bit of test experience with Mercedes) and a rookie in the other seat.

Bottas is OK but Hamilton would destroy him head to head.

Surely this is the best thing to have ever appeared on the official F1 website.
