FIM World SBK 2016 Round 1: Australia
The off-season is gone and finally it's time for the first action of two wheels this year. No this ain't MotoGP, this the World Superbike Championship and it's finally the first round of the season at Melbourne, Australia.
A couple of changes this in the format, as you all know (If you were a WSBK person) that both of the races would happen on the Sunday. Sadly time changes and it's time for change with R1 now taking place on the Saturday and free practice moving to Friday. The only good thing I find with this is that it's a longer weekend.
Don't worry though, Eurosport is back to show every round live this year and with the return of the World Superbike championship comes the return of Superbike Sunday as well as a review of last year's race. Eurosport 1 HD will show the live action of the super pole and races while Eurosport 2 HD will show 2 hour highlights of the day's action. Channel 4 will continue to show FTA highlights of the race.
Eurosport will also be on-site for the first round and present from a studio for the second year running and the guest list will include some big in the superbike world (I don't know who) and commentary will come from James Whitham and Jack Burnicle.
Below is the schedule you need for this weekend action:
