Yep, it was Mark Nicholas at the helm and it was an excellent production from Sunset and Vine that transformed cricket coverage the world over.”
Certainly missed that live coverage then, so just asked all my friends/old colleagues who all happened to be here with me today at a golf day (well all but one I was managing at that time in IT enterprise support) if they remembered. NO, no one remembered C4 live cricket.
But then, we at that time were all hard working mid 30s to early 40s, we did all have corporate County Cricket season tickets, so every available Sat and Sun would have been watching that. Also many test match and one day trips to the Oval, Headingly and Lords.
Also we attended all/most Le Mans, Magny Cours and Spa F1s (well not 2003!) at that time, so must have watched highlights or most probably then listened on old fashioned radio

Good old TMS on LW, MW or whatever it was, Well certainly none of this DAB nonsense we have now.
Of course, we are all mid 50s now and semi retired or retired, so enjoying the more modern tv and web way of sport broadcasting. Just spoilt for choice these days, and having it spread across multi channels and online makes it a more engaging and fresh experience. so cannot really complain.
