Looks like Sure is the new Sky F1 sponsor.

Also, first bit of archive FOM footage on C4 has just been shown during the DC/Guy Martin show.

DHL was shown as one of the Sky sponsors earlier

Ah, interesting. Sure was shown just before Paddock Uncut. They must have two again like they did with Rolex and (I think) Santander back in 2013.

Haven't used sky sports iPad app since last season, but noticed it updated today with "improvements" ahead of the new season. It now has an "in association with Sure" ad - so maybe the Sure sponsorship isn't F1 specific. For sure, I'm unsure.

The only other "improvement" I noticed: you're now forced to watch a 30-second add before watching any on-demand videos. That's not great, for sure.

I'll have to wait till I get home to watch my recording of the poofter/crossdresser/clambanger/transgender channel coverage.

Jp
^How much do you pay per night for that channel??

Not sure if this has been posted. Very interesting to hear - are there any other broadcasters which take their entire broadcast (i.e. pre/post coverage) from another channel?
Curious to see how that will work with TSN's ad-break rate being VERY different to Sky's
Sky aren't going to hack their coverage to death to accommodate that unless TSN are going to the same type of approach Fox Sports AU does!?

Do Fox AUS shoehorn in their own extra breaks into coverage outwith Sky's? (I presume not in races?)

--
Pretty much same-old from Sky, few graphic bits and pieces in the intro but everything else the same.

No. If Sky take a break Fox AU does but if not, then no. Its a 100% simulcast

The yellow stickers stand out a lot more on the new T-cam housings.

Also the red button video options all seem to be full screen, No silly borders

Also new layout on what FOM are now calling the Pits+Replay channel:

100% when Sky takes an ad we take one, when Sky is on we are on on Fox Sports.

Link says TSN coverage of Practice starts at 1.30am ET - which would be 5.30am UK.

So is TSN not showing Practice live or maybe they aren't bothering with Practice 1 and just starting with Practice 2?

Also new layout on what FOM are now calling the Pits+Replay channel:
http://i.imgur.com/lPUUIZa.jpg
BTW the video feeds are reversed now, The world-feed is in the larger box & the pits feed is in the smaller one.

Also a lot of image breakup on the OnBoards so far.

I was going to say there seems to be quite a lot of wasted space on that pits+replay channel but all the graphics appear to have dropped off it at the moment.

Surly it should be the bigger box - isn't that the point of the Pit Channel

Umm... Virtual ads are a lot harder to spot... There's a Rolex one on the inside of T1 and a Pirelli one at T5, but they are nowhere near as noticeable.

I'm not 100% against them restricting elements of it but I really don't like how far they have gone as I love hearing the team radio chatter & fear that were now hardly going to hear anything because there doesn't seem to be much left that they can actually say.

Seems there is a new FOM Data channel, Which Sky don't seem to have taken.

Despite the rumours that Setanta were going to continue with BBC 5Live commentary, it turns out they've actually opted for the C4 commentary instead. Ben Edwards and Tony Dodgens in the box at the moment, just like the past few years on the Beeb. Seems that Tony was brought onboard by Whisper as well to continue on in his role as the comms box statistician/practice commentator for Channel 4.

As others have already posted, Karun Chandok working the pits at the moment in the roving reporter/Ted Kravitz-style role.

It tends to simple be a matter of blending - small tweaks in saturation and opacity can make a big difference.

I've noticed in the past they've sometimes turned things down in damp/wet conditions, and it's always looked a lot better.

The one on T5 has suddenly become more noticable thanks to this sudden rain shower.

Exactly this - Main reason for having the pit channel up was for the team radio, loved listening in to it all. its just all a little too quiet for my liking.

Where did you find that data channel. I like that

Someone on another forum posted that image of it, I think he's getting it from the FOM satellite feeds.

No idea what broadcasters are going to be showing it.

Not fond on the screens on the pits channel been switched, Having the pits & replays as the smaller window makes it difficult to see, Especially on Sky's low quality red button feeds.

Some onboards look sharper than others: Haas good, Torro Rosso not quite so.
